EURO 2020

UEFA EURO 2020

Thank you all for the ride

Just wanted to say thank you to all of you who provided help and hints along the way for the last 2 years.  Not forgetting the banter...

Having been to see  loads of England home games in the 80s and early 90s,  I am now a zero capper  (yes I hear you all booooooo) , this is mainly down to suffering with anxiety these last 20 years.

So it was a big goal of mine to go to at least 1 game, especially having not been to any Wembley games in 1996.  Having lost my 2 group games in the ballot , I gambled and bought a hospitality ticket for the 2nd knockout  game ...  talk about winning the lottery !  The whole day was amazing, and I was proud of myself.

I then got a ticket for the Final thru the ESTC, as I had got lucky in the original pre-covid ballot.  So much has been written about the day I dont have to repeat it, but being honest those scumbags pretty much ruined the day.  Why cant people just enjoy themselves without ruining it for others eh.  So its been hard not being so negative about the day, but having read many others experiencing the same has actually helped me realise it wasnt just me.   I know how down I couldve been if I hadnt gone.   I really felt for you guys who go home and away, and to have the game you dreamed of being ruined by the idiots..

The ESTC guys get some stick,  but I found them to be really helpful if I emailed them for any help / advice.
So thanks again guys ,  and i hope you all have safe trips to Poland / Qatar etc.   Maybe I will be back on the forums for the 2030 World Cup in England :-)

 Stay safe    Pete
