    Dear Team England,

You are declining to sell QF tickets to ESTC members because Italy is on the government's amber list and because of entry restrictions imposed by the Italian authorities. OK, that's logical and understandable. Hungary, Poland, Andorra and San Marino are also on the government's amber list. Can you answer these questions as soon as you have the time, please.

    1. If these countries remain on the amber list, will you decline to request a ticket allocation for ESTC members ?

    2. How long would you leave it to give the government a chance to move these countries to the green list ? How close to the match date would it be before you decide on whether or not to request an allocation ?

When Peru narrowly failed to make the World Cup in 1998, their coach was Juan Carlos Oblitas, a winger from their side of the late 70s and early 80s. Oblitas remains an important voice in the Peruvian game – and he is not happy with the squad that...

blogs: Tim Vickery: Prototype Peru may prove just as welcoming to England as Wembley itself

Peru have not only been invited to Wembley this Friday to give a South American flavour to England’s World Cup send-off. Presumably, the idea is that the fans will go home happy and the team will get a pre-tournament morale boost. Only goal difference...
