EURO 2020

UEFA EURO 2020

How have ESTC not got the whole allocation for Euros?

Forgive me for being naive here, but how do ESTC get 25% of their ticket allocation for 25% capacity?

Surely ESTC should take preference over General Sale?  So, if there are 10,000 tickets available after the "Football Family" then the entirety should be awarded to ESTC members.

We have put the miles in over the years to earn them, we even sat through the dross that was the "Rooney Special" USA game to earn caps.

Yet, we will potentially lose our seats to someone who hasn't been to any games but just happened to log on to their computer at the right time and got awarded them through the UEFA General Sale.

Doesn't make sense to me at all.

    Well, I have to disagree!

That's because I didn't need to apply for the England group matches thru the ESTC, because I was fortunate enough to be successful in the General Sale.

So as one of those who "have put the miles in over the years to earn them", I'm hoping those successful in the General Sale *are* included in the ballot.

    :)

Unfortunately I doubt they will Richard which is unlucky for you but lucky for the member who benefitted from you not taking your allocation from the FA.

I know it's hard to gauge at the time but your cap level is more than sufficient to get all the tickets via England fans for this tournament pre pandemic.

A tip for the Qatar World Cup.. you won't need to put any miles in and you'll get tickets on zero caps..

As others have said, with only 3000 tickets available for 12000 current ticket holders, those in the 10% ballot will only have about a 3% chance of success. But this is for each match. If you hold tickets to all 7 matches which could potentially involve England and there were 3000 tickets available for each, your chances of getting at least 1 ticket would be just over 20%.

When the country enters Step 4 of the Road Map, all restrictions are supposed to be removed. In practice, I don't think we will be allowed full stadiums but I'm hopeful for the fraction to go up to 50%, i.e. 6000 tickets for ESTC. In that case, those in the 10% ballot would have about a 9% chance of success for each match. Again, if you hold multiple tickets, your chances of getting something are reasonable.

With 6000 tickets, there would be 1200 in the 20% ballot. It is not clear how many members would be in the ballot as many members who satisfy the criteria will already be in the 70%. If there are any spare tickets from the 20% ballot, these will fall into the 10% ballot, increasing everyone's chances of success.

I'm a bit confused with this statement 'Of the 12000 tickets allocated to the England Supporters Travel Club for the group Wembley games I think all should be retained, and those ESTC members who got their tickets through UEFA should also retain theirs.'

If they did that then there would be not enough room for fans of other countries?

e.g. Scotland. If we had all the tickets for that game for instance it would hardly be fair.

I heard the split was out of the 22500 per game
    10,000 corporate
3,000 for home and away teams
Rest 6500 goes to UEFA cronies

Tempted to blow it out now , no atmosphere majority in ground corporate

    We’ve really been sold out

    In reply to Peter John-Baptiste:

Exactly what I was thinking. If the capacity is 22500, how can England still be allocated 12000 tickets? Both teams rightly are allocated the same amount of tickets, so if England get 12k, Croatia, Scotland and Czechia need to be allocated 12k as well.

    12k x 2 = 24k - how do all those fit into a 22,500 capacity?

I understand why some people are frustrated, but people really aren’t thinking this through

Where have you heard that though? Or is it just rumours?

What is Wembley’s corporate capacity, for one thing? And, unless you are counting them as UEFA’s cronies, where do you factor in the fans who, for whatever reason, bought directly from UEFA rather than wait for the FA’s allocation? Either you’re calling them cronies, which is wrong, or you’re suggesting they lose all their tickets, which is hardly fair

Aren't we forgetting one thing in all this......won't people coming in to the country for the games...have the same worries we have about going to away games...Covid and isolating.
Scotland obviously no problem...but the other countries fans?

Yes some may live here....but many who are entitled to tickets to watch their team won't.

Decent atmosphere in the League Cup with only 2k from each set of the fans and the rest NHS workers/Brent locals.
Good to hear fans back in the ground!

Agree Clarke. It was interesting to see how it looked as well. With each clubs fans mainly in one section of the ground, that was at a good level for the cameras as well. I wasnt sure if they wouldve spaced out people even more to avoid contact, but I guess its more operable to have people in one area, so avoid having to have many times more amount of stewards. From a quick recall, it seemed a 50/50 split how many kept their masks on ?

To answer the threads question, has there been any official release about what percentage each group of tickets have now got ?  Originally it was 50% for the Uefa general sale, 16% for each competing country, and the rest split between hospitality / sponsors/ fifa bigwigs etc. There was also a small allocation for the local FA ?
