EURO 2020

UEFA EURO 2020

Organisation euro 2020

The culture secretary was on the Andrew marr show this morning , when asked if Wembley will be full come July 11th he said you carnt answer that question. He then went on too say about the importance of social distancing and seeing how the data goes , my point is do you think uefa have left it too late as they are still hell bent on staging it in all 12 country’s if possible. Surely this is now impossible. Why didn’t they just give every country an earlier deadline and if england or the uk was happy to stage it just say best and worst case scenarios ie 100 % 75-50-25-0

"All the world's a stage, and all the men and women are merely Watching on tv".
I think some stadiums will start with some fans, 5000 Dutch fans were allowed in, but some may start behind closed doors and allow later.

There's also the parity aspect. Will it be viewed as fair that 100% of England/Scotland fans can attend but Croatian ones are prevented due to their governments border restrictions? We will see, but I can see some objections happening here. We will see.

The idea of doing lateral flow tests at venues is just not practical. What if someone has travelled 100 miles by train and fails a test - how do they get home?

Is that before or after having to spend 20 minutes queuing because someone at the front can’t work out how to scan there ticket.

Its so frustrating when you see large crowds at sporting events in America, who are at a similar level re-the virus as us.

If the FA Cup final can have a 20,000 crowd , then I was hoping that the Group games at Wembley could have at least 30,000, but the Government keep talking about the 'later stages' for bigger crowds.
If any country drops out, then how will they handle ticket holders. Assuming they games will be 50 miles away, then all ticket holders will have the chance to cancel their ticket. Based on how many that leaves, they may have to then have a ballot to see who will be given an option to buy a ticket for the new venue. But the prices of tickets could then be more expensive than the one you originally bought. So how will Uefa handle that?
Thinking about all that , you can see Uefa may be willing to put any decision back again a few weeks.

Ah yeah sorry misread your comment. Hopefully find out soon how many fans will be allowed in but don’t think we’ll get an official announcement from UEFA until 20th April at the earliest
