UEFA EURO 2020

People Who Havent Received Email...

Hi all,

So i havent receiced an email and I though on 6 active caps, 10 total I would be more or less gaurenteed group stage tickets especially tickeing the price upgrade button.

I sent a support ticket to Uefa yesterday asking if there had been an issue with the application and they replied with:

"Dear Matt,

Thank you for your email.

The results of the general sale have not been announced yet.

All applicants will be notified by email about the outcome of their application by the end of January 2020.

We thank you for your patience and understanding.

Best regards,
UEFA Ticketing Customer Service"

I put in my England FAN number so didnt apply for general..... perhaps I and other people who haven't received an email have applied in a different section by mistake etc?

Not sure i anyone can shed any light on this...

Matt

response from UEFA. have tried to contact ESTC.
I can see a copy of my application. travel club membership is on there.
it was all the same portal.
I did it with my mate. the exact same way. and he received tickets. I have been told I am in general ballot.

    In reply to Yoni Smith:

I am exactly the same as you Yoni..... I am pretty sure the general Uefa ballot ended before the ESTC started anyway? Which concerns me about even getting a ticket in this, my gut feeling on this is there has been some sort of processing error.

I might ring the FA tomorrow but I cant really see them helping..

    In reply to Matt Turner:

    yeh im exactly the same.
there has been a processing error 100%
I have started a new thread to see who is in the same situation - I would expect there are many - probably those still waiting for emails
I will try to call tomorrow too. no doubt they will try to brush under carpet as is their error and ballot is finished!

I understand you're keen to get this issue resolved but now having three different threads (as well as multiple ESTC FB discussions) all tackling the same issue will only serve to dilute information and cause more confusion than help in my opinion.

Unfortunately, when entering the General ballot, it asked for a "Fan club Membership Number".

I know this because my wife, who is NOT in the Travel Club, applied in the General ballot - and got to this question asking "Fan club Membership Number". It allowed her to proceed by putting an X in the field.

So having a copy of an application which shows a membership number doesn't mean a person was necessarily in the Travel Club ballot.

It seems like people somehow ended up going into the General ballot but thought they were in the Travel Club ballot because it asked the "Fan club Membership Number" question.

It doesn't sound like a processing error as such. More that there was much confusion.

I had to put in the ESTC access code though. Any idea if that was bypassable with an 'X'?

    In reply to Ian Costain:

Understand, but im one of those seems to have been effected and there was no other portal available. There was literally only the one I applied on and that i(we) all thought was the ESTC one, it’s not like there were two options and I had the choice to click ESTC portal or general portal, I think this is people’s frustration, we’ve all followed the relevant links etc. From FA emails and ended up in this situation

Hi Thomas. I'm only trying to help by sharing my personal experience. There were definitely two portals - and how you got in to one versus the other was thoroughly confusing. You are right that I don't recall there being two options and you had choose between them. But, depending how you accessed the website, it took you to one of the two. I remember there being posts on here at the time about the confusion.

    In reply to Ian Costain:

For those not on the ESTC FB page, more people are coming back, after contact from UEFA, with UEFA stating that these affected members did not apply within the dedicated ESTC portal. But instead went through the General Sale.

Again, not trying to p@ss anyone off, just trying to help to communicate what information is being passed on.

    Dear Matt,

    Thank you for your email.

Membership number is a mandatory field for everyone's profile so this is the reason why it appears on each portal.

We are going to announce the results of the general lottery in the coming days.

    Best regards,
    UEFA Ticketing Customer Service

This wsa the latest message.... I cant work out if they have made an error and sweeping it under the rug or if it is an error from my side. To be fair though I followed the same links as everyone else and the portal I was in and application was identical to other members, this is why I feel confused and a lttle hard done to tbh.

    In reply to Matt Turner:

Apparently I ended up in the General Lottery. Will have to wait and see if I am lucky. Not sure how clicking on the link on the 'FA email' and entering the access code from the 'FA email' can take me into the wrong site, but it may be a blessing, who knows. I did edit my application without going via the email link, maybe that somehow flipped it, that is all I can think of.

    In reply to Matt Turner:

I was in the Travel Club ballot. And my wife went into the General ballot.

Hopefully the following information will help people ascertain which ballot they entered:

    (1) "Application submitted" email from UEFA (in December)

For the Final, my email stated "Conditional Match".
For the Final, my wife's email stated "Tickets".

    (2) Logging in to UEFA account

When I log in there is an England banner at the top of the screen.
When my wife logs in there is no such banner.

I appreciate though this doesn't answer the question about the utter confusion over how some people ended up in the General ballot.

blogs: Graeme Le Saux: Youth or experience for second Miami test?

The game against Honduras tonight is the final chance for a player to stake their claim for that World Cup opener against Italy next Saturday, and warm-up matches are key - just look at Michael Owen at France 98. The build-up to this tournament and that one 16 years ago is similar in many ways because there was a lot of experience in that England squad that I played in, and Michael really burst onto the scene. It was...

blogs: David Stone: Marvellous Miami is just like I pictured it

I've been to the US a few times before, but Miami really lives up to every cultural stereotype you can think of. It's big, bright and brash, not to mention full of hordes of identically-dressed, beautiful people. I’ve been to watch the Miami Marlins, the city's baseball team, in a local derby against the Tampa Bay Rays. While the stadium itself was two-thirds empty, the dozen or so England fans there...
