EURO 2020

UEFA EURO 2020

People Who Havent Received Email...

Hi all,

So i havent receiced an email and I though on 6 active caps, 10 total I would be more or less gaurenteed group stage tickets especially tickeing the price upgrade button.

I sent a support ticket to Uefa yesterday asking if there had been an issue with the application and they replied with:

"Dear Matt,

Thank you for your email.

The results of the general sale have not been announced yet.

All applicants will be notified by email about the outcome of their application by the end of January 2020.

We thank you for your patience and understanding.

Best regards,
UEFA Ticketing Customer Service"

I put in my England FAN number so didnt apply for general..... perhaps I and other people who haven't received an email have applied in a different section by mistake etc?

Not sure i anyone can shed any light on this...

Matt

Yeah we are in the same boat.UEFA are saying that I applied through the general ballot.I used my Access code put in my Travel Club number and they issued a Group ID number.
Two of the three of us on the application are on over 40 points so should be getting all the Cat3 tickets we requested.
Now it looks like we be lucky to get any tickets
    Thanks UEFA

And here is another way of checking which ballot you were in …

Go to the website for the General ballot portal … euro2020.tickets.uefa.com/.../welcome_en.html

And log in. For me (who entered Travel Club ballot) I get a message saying "you already have an application in The FA Ticket Portal". Whereas my wife (who entered the General ballot) can of course see her application

Thanks for help with all this! Indeed I can see our application logging in here.

Anyone know what the chances are like in the general ballot having gone for Category 2 (but accepting higher) tickets? Very slim I assume?

My wife's application through the general ballot shows an England flag. At the start you had to say which country you supported which I am assuming is where the flag comes from. It was confusing at the time and I thought I may have entered her in the Englandfans ballot as it asked for a membership number but the X worked on that field.

The deadlines were the same as I went back in and checked both our applications mine through Englandfans and hers in the general sale just before the ballots closed.

I'm okay thanks Matt. Got my email from UEFA on my application through Englandfans and my mrs is still pending in the general ballot. Just trying to help others by confirming that the England flag is also on there on the general ballot application.

You're always going to get ESTC members who won't/cant take up their allocation. Presumably these will then feed into this General ballot?

    Numbers is anyone's guess.

You make a very good point, James, my apologies. On further investigation my wife put "Other" for the country she was a fan of … which I guess would account for the lack of an England flag :) :)

I've had confirmation from UEFA that I've somehow applied through the general ballot, therefore myself on 44 caps and two mates on 39 and 37 have been left ticketless, unless we get lucky in the general ballot.

Find it farcical that despite putting in an access code for the ESTC ballot and having FAN IDs, their confusing system doesn't direct me there or link it with applications. Pretty livid with myself but what can you do?

    In reply to Matthew Storey:

Credit to you for holding your hands up.

Brush yourself down and move on.

Quite a few more opportunities. The FA have a good record of securing tickets later on - especially for high cappers like yourself.

    Good luck

I feel the exact same Matt.... I could accept it if I had I was in a small group of people to have done ti but it seems like a lot of people are in the same boat. Its unlike me to make mistakes on applications like this so for me the whole process has been so confusing!!!

blogs: Ian Fenwick: England emerging for bright future

I’m someone who is lucky enough work within the FA and the one thing I can say from my experience is that the future of English football is amazingly bright. Of course it’s not enough to always say that the things are going to be good in...

blogs: Tim Vickery: Belo Horizonte a fair setting for England’s new beginnings

Last time the World Cup came to Brazil, England went to the city of Belo Horizonte to be humiliated; it is the scene of that notorious 1-0 defeat to the United States. Perhaps humiliation is too strong a word this time. After all, England’s 2014 World Cup campaign has been marked by single goal defeats to former world champions, whereas back in 1950 the pride of the old First Division went down to what essentially...

blogs: Graeme Le Saux: England can bounce back if they take a few risks

After the disappointment of the last two games, it’s vital that England take risks against Costa Rica. We don’t need two holding midfielders, Roy Hodgson has to start Adam Lallana over Danny Welbeck and we should switch to three men at the back. There was a clear opportunity against Uruguay and Italy to go to a back three – it would have allowed us to put some of our inventive players into more creative...

blogs: John Hemmingham: Let’s blow our own trumpet for once – come on England!

I’m used to blowing my own trumpet but not when it comes to predictions – I think we’ll get a result against Uruguay, but I thought we’d beat Italy 4-0! You’ve got to be optimistic as an England fan, sometimes it’s blind optimism but if you do what we do you have to believe. I’ve been following England with the band for 18 years now and it has always been the same. Roy Hodgson...

blogs: Tim Vickery: Uruguay may raise their game away from Fortaleza furnace

In the build-up to the World Cup a Uruguayan company launched an imaginative advertising campaign. Draped in a sky blue sheet, the colour of Uruguay’s shorts, the ghost of 1950 wandered around Rio frightening the locals – no one ever here needs reminding that the last time the World Cup was held in Brazil, Uruguay walked off with the trophy. So there was an element of Brazilian joy at Uruguay’s humiliating...
