EURO 2020

UEFA EURO 2020

People Who Havent Received Email...

Hi all,

So i havent receiced an email and I though on 6 active caps, 10 total I would be more or less gaurenteed group stage tickets especially tickeing the price upgrade button.

I sent a support ticket to Uefa yesterday asking if there had been an issue with the application and they replied with:

"Dear Matt,

Thank you for your email.

The results of the general sale have not been announced yet.

All applicants will be notified by email about the outcome of their application by the end of January 2020.

We thank you for your patience and understanding.

Best regards,
UEFA Ticketing Customer Service"

I put in my England FAN number so didnt apply for general..... perhaps I and other people who haven't received an email have applied in a different section by mistake etc?

Not sure i anyone can shed any light on this...

Matt

My mate’s in the same boat. Never received an email and applied using the same application form as I did...it doesn’t look like you and him are alone judging by twitter either!

In the same boat currently. Where do you find the support ticket form? Can't see it anywhere on their website. Thanks

The upgrade only works for one category, so it depends on what was your first choice, so for example if you picked the cheapest ticket option then with one upgrade and six caps you may not have been successful.

I am just guessing, but I think there are 3 possible outcomes for an application : fully / partly successful, unsuccessful and voided. Perhaps you are not sent an email if your application has been voided by UEFA.

Can you think of any reason why your application might have been voided ? For example, did you or anyone else on your application get a ticket to Dublin in the general public sale and apply for a R16 ticket from the FA allocation ? Or is someone in your party inadvertently on more than one application for the same match ?

no 100% application was watertight, my brother also hasn't heard back he was on a separate application with a mate... will have to just continue to wait i guess until at least end of Jan.

    In reply to David Lilley:

I've definitely applied as England fans and not general sale (double checked and compared to mates who did the same and have been successful), none of the other two have bought any other tickets, nor did they apply, and everything is spelt correctly etc.

All three of us have enough caps to get the cheapest categories for every single game too, so really unsure what the issue is. Waiting for a response from UEFA but given stories I've read of muck ups from the past, can't say I'm confident.

Forgive the attempt at humour but this is like that quiz show, which I perform on very badly, 'Only connect'.

Looking at the ESTC FB threads where this issue is discussed (and assuming that the members real names are those on the screen) there are indeed some which begin with S and T. BUT there are also ones which don't.

same thing has happened to me.
they said I didn't apply as a travel club member. I did
I put my membership number as they asked. I followed it perfectly.

they have messed up and processed our applications wrong.

my mate applied exactly the same way and he has got tickets.

blogs: Ian Fenwick: England emerging for bright future

I’m someone who is lucky enough work within the FA and the one thing I can say from my experience is that the future of English football is amazingly bright. Of course it’s not enough to always say that the things are going to be good in...

blogs: Tim Vickery: Belo Horizonte a fair setting for England’s new beginnings

Last time the World Cup came to Brazil, England went to the city of Belo Horizonte to be humiliated; it is the scene of that notorious 1-0 defeat to the United States. Perhaps humiliation is too strong a word this time. After all, England’s 2014 World Cup campaign has been marked by single goal defeats to former world champions, whereas back in 1950 the pride of the old First Division went down to what essentially...

blogs: Graeme Le Saux: England can bounce back if they take a few risks

After the disappointment of the last two games, it’s vital that England take risks against Costa Rica. We don’t need two holding midfielders, Roy Hodgson has to start Adam Lallana over Danny Welbeck and we should switch to three men at the back. There was a clear opportunity against Uruguay and Italy to go to a back three – it would have allowed us to put some of our inventive players into more creative...

blogs: John Hemmingham: Let’s blow our own trumpet for once – come on England!

I’m used to blowing my own trumpet but not when it comes to predictions – I think we’ll get a result against Uruguay, but I thought we’d beat Italy 4-0! You’ve got to be optimistic as an England fan, sometimes it’s blind optimism but if you do what we do you have to believe. I’ve been following England with the band for 18 years now and it has always been the same. Roy Hodgson...

blogs: Tim Vickery: Uruguay may raise their game away from Fortaleza furnace

In the build-up to the World Cup a Uruguayan company launched an imaginative advertising campaign. Draped in a sky blue sheet, the colour of Uruguay’s shorts, the ghost of 1950 wandered around Rio frightening the locals – no one ever here needs reminding that the last time the World Cup was held in Brazil, Uruguay walked off with the trophy. So there was an element of Brazilian joy at Uruguay’s humiliating...
