UEFA EURO 2020

Fans First tickets for semi and final?

Does everyone get the option for these tickets as the prices seem to good to be true or are they only available to those with a high number of caps?

I chose these and also accept another cat just in case Smile

It may not be up in the gods that was just me thinking where they would be after seeing Ian’s post about fans first tickets being in poorer positions ... on 66 caps you deserve to be in the best seat in the house

    Very kind Andrew.

If we made the Final we would all be pretty much up with the gods metaphorically anyway!

Knowing if the Fans First tickets are the 'worst' seats is tricky.  . As some have already said, we all have our own opinions what makes a great seat . Some prefer behind the goal, some near the front etc.
When I went to the World Cup in America in 1994, I paid to have a top category seat for some of the games. My seat in Boston was along the side, but level with the goal line !Their logic ? well in American Football thats the touchline, so its the best seat !

So these tickets could either be in the first few rows on level 1 or on level 5 .. Seems massively unfair on top cappers if they do get issued these first surely they deserve to have the best seats on level 1 behind the goal ... I’d want to be on the bench if I had 60 caps lol

As the topest ( !) capper, climbing up the cap ladder I've learned to be happy if I'm just in the ground. Location comes second.

My only worry is that the core support (ie the noise) is split. That happened at the Russia World Cup where the fans were all over the ground. Wembley is rubbish for atmosphere, but hopefully not too many tourists for this tournament.

Down the front or not though? I would rather pay more and not be down the front. Could do with an answer.

i also rang up and asked on Friday - they are expecting approximately 3000 fans first tickets for each match (should we qualify obviously), although that number has not been confirmed yet. They hope to have an answer from UEFA soon and hope to post the numbers on the website and the facebook page later this week. So you should be able to count up the numbers on the caps table to see where you stand ........

Like others say above. Fans first tickets sound great but if they were last row at the back of Wembley, I would glad pay more for a "proper" cat 3 :-)

If you want the best seat in the house you have to pay for it

There`s only going to be one rows difference between the front row of fans first and the back row cat 3 tickets, its just the luck of the draw to what seats you`d get !

blogs: Ian Fenwick: England emerging for bright future

I’m someone who is lucky enough work within the FA and the one thing I can say from my experience is that the future of English football is amazingly bright. Of course it’s not enough to always say that the things are going to be good in...

blogs: Tim Vickery: Belo Horizonte a fair setting for England’s new beginnings

Last time the World Cup came to Brazil, England went to the city of Belo Horizonte to be humiliated; it is the scene of that notorious 1-0 defeat to the United States. Perhaps humiliation is too strong a word this time. After all, England’s 2014 World Cup campaign has been marked by single goal defeats to former world champions, whereas back in 1950 the pride of the old First Division went down to what essentially...

blogs: Graeme Le Saux: England can bounce back if they take a few risks

After the disappointment of the last two games, it’s vital that England take risks against Costa Rica. We don’t need two holding midfielders, Roy Hodgson has to start Adam Lallana over Danny Welbeck and we should switch to three men at the back. There was a clear opportunity against Uruguay and Italy to go to a back three – it would have allowed us to put some of our inventive players into more creative...

blogs: John Hemmingham: Let’s blow our own trumpet for once – come on England!

I’m used to blowing my own trumpet but not when it comes to predictions – I think we’ll get a result against Uruguay, but I thought we’d beat Italy 4-0! You’ve got to be optimistic as an England fan, sometimes it’s blind optimism but if you do what we do you have to believe. I’ve been following England with the band for 18 years now and it has always been the same. Roy Hodgson...

blogs: Tim Vickery: Uruguay may raise their game away from Fortaleza furnace

In the build-up to the World Cup a Uruguayan company launched an imaginative advertising campaign. Draped in a sky blue sheet, the colour of Uruguay’s shorts, the ghost of 1950 wandered around Rio frightening the locals – no one ever here needs reminding that the last time the World Cup was held in Brazil, Uruguay walked off with the trophy. So there was an element of Brazilian joy at Uruguay’s humiliating...
