EURO 2020

UEFA EURO 2020

Anyone suffering withdrawal symptoms from the tournament?

I'm bad enough when the group stage goes down from three games a day to two games, let alone when its all over.

It's worse this time obviously as I've never followed us all the way to a Final before, but the defeat mixed with the tournament actually ending has left me with an empty feeling these last two days.

Ii keep looking at the UEFA website hoping they'll announce some more games   :-))))

Had both jabs and tested positive this morning.

Personally know of 9 people so far who have tested positive. 3 from my group, 2 from a group of friends we met up with and 4 from another group who we didn’t mix with on final day.

Feeling pretty crap but hopefully nothing too serious. 11 days locked indoors is not appealing though.

I know exactly what you mean. New season can’t come quick enough and fingers crossed an away trip to Budapest.

Wife and I both received the NHS App ping on Tuesday evening telling us to isolate though strangely my wife was told for nine days and I only got four days!
She took a home test yesterday and it was negative and both of us have had both jabs

I found it a very disjointed tournament, great atmosphere at Budapest, Copenhagen, Wembley for latter games and a couple of Saint Petersburg games with Russia playing. The others were woeful, especially bad were Seville, Munich, Baku and Hampden. Some good matches though, frustrated by England not going for it and unleashing the attacking talent, echoes of Luzhniki. Do think Southgate lost the plot with his pens choice, 2 of the lads had less than a minute on the pitch, Saka has never taken one (Batty and Southgate himself all over again) and Pickford was 6th.
And yes got the covid, mine is raging too, only had 1 jab so far, my son has it too. Suppose you catch it sooner or later and my town is riddled with it so no big deal, just see it out.

Yes I'm suffering withdrawal symptoms. I've arrived back home in the US and started watching the CONCAAF gold cup. Last nights big game was Trinidad v El Salvador....I hope we take allocation of tickets to Hungry and Poland.

Add another one to the Covid list. Double jabbed but still a few minor symptoms. Tested positive Monday.

    Worst tournament since Euro 96..

Didn’t like the format at all.

Baku poor venue just like in 2019.

Absolutely Peter. Don’t know what to do with myself this weekend. Doesn’t help that I’m floored after getting my second jab yesterday. Initially only managed to do the games in Glasgow due to locality, but got lucky in the UEFA sale for the final and that’s given me the tonic to rejoin the ESTC. I doubt I’ll get to every game, but having one or two to look forward to will make the rest of this pandemic that much more bareable. It was brilliant having the games to look forward to over the last month amidst the doom and gloom coming out of the news every day.

I had no time for the format ever since it was announced. Having said that the last 16 months or so has been so appalling despite the format and the ongoing Covid issues that restricted crowds I still enjoyed it and it was about the only thing I've looked forward to in the last year or so.

I miss watching all the games on TV and looking forward to going to Wembley.

I had this feeling as well. I still watch highlights of the matches. It was a great tournament. One we can look back on with immense pride. Went to all the games except Czech Republic [lost in ballot] and Ukraine. Wouldn’t change it.

I loved this tournament. Considering there was reduced attendances I thought it was a very entertaining tournament. I was fixated.

Loved all the games. It’s only been since that I realised how fixated non attending fans were also. There was a lot of people who told me how jealous they were. The only game I didn’t enjoy was the final for obvious reasons, however, this tournament will live long in the memory.
