EURO 2020

UEFA EURO 2020

Reserve List

Spoken to the office this morning. Official line is it is now highly unlikely any further tickets will come up and hoped I would find somewhere else to enjoy the game

If you are hoping for a call, make other plans

    In reply to Gregory Hughes:

Spoke to them again since the initial post. Tel line is closed

Basically they have used the rule of initial application for each game for every ballot they have run. Until the reserved list. This they opened up to all members. So even if you didn’t apply for the final you could’ve received a call this morning. They had reserve list applications in the high hundreds but less than a hundred extra tickets

I know it’s a very tough job but to throw the criteria for tickets out of the window at the last minute doesn’t make sense to me

I missed the call cues allocation cut off by 1 cap so should’ve been quite high on the reserve list if they had applied the same rule. Annoyed is an understatement

    In reply to Paul Greenhalgh:

i think it was based on caps from 2018-2020 when the caps counted toward the originall allocation so only the spain game would have counted you would have had 2 caps

blogs: Graeme Le Saux: Youth or experience for second Miami test?

The game against Honduras tonight is the final chance for a player to stake their claim for that World Cup opener against Italy next Saturday, and warm-up matches are key - just look at Michael Owen at France 98. The build-up to this tournament and that one 16 years ago is similar in many ways because there was a lot of experience in that England squad that I played in, and Michael really burst onto the scene. It was...

blogs: David Stone: Marvellous Miami is just like I pictured it

I've been to the US a few times before, but Miami really lives up to every cultural stereotype you can think of. It's big, bright and brash, not to mention full of hordes of identically-dressed, beautiful people. I’ve been to watch the Miami Marlins, the city's baseball team, in a local derby against the Tampa Bay Rays. While the stadium itself was two-thirds empty, the dozen or so England fans there...

blogs: Tim Vickery: Honduras and Professor Suarez lie in wait for Hodgson's hopefuls

The fitness of the Uruguay striker permitting, England have a date with Luis Suarez on 19 June. First, though, comes an encounter with his namesake on Saturday. Honduras are coached by Luis Fernando Suarez – a man who England fans have cause to...

Building up to a major international tournament is strange because you’ve spent so long preparing and then all of a sudden you’re playing in a World Cup – you don’t even think about it you just do your job. I would like to think...

Somewhere in-between the nerve-racking qualifying campaigns and the unbearable tension that surrounds a major tournament there occasionally lies a perfect storm of happy sentiment that surrounds the England team. Whether it's Peter Crouch's robot...
