EURO 2020

UEFA EURO 2020

Official Programs

Anyone know anywhere in the city which sells the official program? I don’t want to be buying one in the ground and carrying it around all evening.

Also ordered from Reach a day or two before the final and arrived yesterday. I saw on their twitter feed that they had dispatched all orders on Friday I think.

    In reply to Philip Hackett:

    Hi Philip,
If you’d be kind enough to let me have your address, please, I’ll post you a copy of the programme from the England-Denmark semi-final and the final to give to the children, or raffle off to raise funds. The semi-final programme is not now available from Reach, so the pair, together, might raise a few quid for the hospice.
    Kind regards,
    Garford Beck.

    Hi Peter,

Thank you for your kind words, but, really, I've done nothing, here. Philip's the one with the connection to the Acorns Children's Hospice and I don't know if he works there, or is a volunteer, or, God forbid, he has a child staying there. I've never knowingly met Philip, but either way, he's the hero here, not me. All I've done is sent him a couple of spare programmes which I hope bring a smile to a football-loving child's face, or, in some small way, raise a bit of cash for the hospice. But, again, thank you for being supportive, Peter, it is appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Garford.

    Hi Garford,
As soon as it arrives I will let you know, the volunteers manager has said she is going to auction the programmes once we are allowed to operate under some form of normality.
    Many thanks once again
    Phil

Nice one, Phil. I’ve also enclosed a few extras for your good self by way of thanking you for all your doing for what I’m assuming are very seriously and/or terminally ill children.

    Hi Peter,
Thanks for the kind words, I am a volunteer worker at the hospice, I am retired now after many years as a children's social-worker.
I work as a volunteer with the NHS and split my working week between Acorns and the NHS so still busy busy.
Like all charities it has been a very difficult time both from a working practice point of view and also in Acorns case a financial one as well with the charity shops being closed for long periods of time and the many fund raising events having to be cancelled due to Covid.
Thanks to Garford's generosity the programmes should raise a fair bit when we can actually physically hold an auction.

There you go, Peter, a real hero. I take my hat off to you, Philip. If there’s anything EnglandFans FC can do to raise awareness, or play a fundraiser, let us know. You’ll see elsewhere on the forum we’re involved in a fundraiser for the Ambulance Staff Charity a week on Sunday. I’ve sent you a few tickets for the game, but don’t worry if you can’t make it.

When Peru narrowly failed to make the World Cup in 1998, their coach was Juan Carlos Oblitas, a winger from their side of the late 70s and early 80s. Oblitas remains an important voice in the Peruvian game – and he is not happy with the squad that...
