UEFA EURO 2020

ACCESS CODE CANCELLED - MAX 2 TICKETS IN CART

I tried to buy three tickets for three members on the same order. But after plugging in the access codes and adding the tickets to the cart, it said "Max 2 tickets in cart only".  Unlike the semi's when it was max 4...

So I bought two, but when we went back to buy the third individually it says 'access code either cancelled or in use'

Anyone had the same issue? Did we know it would be max 2 this time or have I missed something...
And what to do now...

I'm sure I've seen on another thread that a member successfully bought tickets for a group of 4. If you got an error message saying a maximum of 2 then this must be a glitch, unless they ran out of the ticket category you wanted.

As you tried to use the third access code and this was unsuccessful then that access code would have been "frozen" by the system as having been used. But, as the code wasn't successfully used, the code will be automatically reactivated after an interval of time. I'm not sure whether this is 15 minutes or 30 minutes but, after this interval has passed, you will be able to use that access code and buy the ticket.

In your original attempt to buy 3 tickets together, one strategy would have been to not complete your first purchase when the system said you could only have 2 tickets. You would have been timed out, the access codes would have been frozen, and your 'Tickets History' in your UEFA ticketing account would have been marked 'Abandoned'. Then, after 15 / 30 minutes, all of the access codes would have been reactivated. So, you could have gone into the system and tried again to buy 3 tickets together.

    In reply to David Lilley:

I got four together easily enough yesterday so I expect as David has mentioned there possibly were not enough tickets left in the category you chose

Four years ago, Ecuador coach Reinaldo Rueda was in charge of Honduras, and he experienced at first hand one of the problems of the World Cup. If the players are not used to the pressure and the glamour of the tournament, then the whole thing can pass...

blogs: Tim Vickery: Can England pass Peru's back three test?

When Peru narrowly failed to make the World Cup in 1998, their coach was Juan Carlos Oblitas, a winger from their side of the late 70s and early 80s. Oblitas remains an important voice in the Peruvian game – and he is not happy with the squad that...

blogs: Tim Vickery: Prototype Peru may prove just as welcoming to England as Wembley itself

Peru have not only been invited to Wembley this Friday to give a South American flavour to England’s World Cup send-off. Presumably, the idea is that the fans will go home happy and the team will get a pre-tournament morale boost. Only goal difference...
