EURO 2020

UEFA EURO 2020

Ticket from ESTC and Uefa

Most questions seem to be about getting a ESTC ticket if you already have a Uefa one.   Im just thinking about the reverse (typical me ! ) . Ive got a cat 3 ESTC ticket for the Final, which im chuffed to have got, but what would happen if i saw a Cat 2 (which I prefer) , on the uefa website?  Id like to then give my ESTC one either back to the Club to re-sell to a member, or transfer to a ESTC member.

I have emailed the ESTC guys as well, as wouldnt do anything that wasnt in the ESTC rules, and not to jeopardize my ticket.

    Hi Peter,
For the Germany game I bought one through ESTC, then the next day I bought another ticket from UEFA for my son.
I then emailed ESTC to explain why and also to see if they could do anything so we could sit together. (My son is 15).
ESTC were very helpful and suggested a visit to UEFA ticket office to reallocate us to sit together which I did.
    Hope this helps!

    Hi Peter,

Got a mate who's a travel club member that had to return his ticket for financial reasons because of Covid (he got it in 2019, it was €595)

So if you do get lucky and want to transfer to a travel club member would be happy to hook you guys up, he's happy to pay face value plus a few beers for you on top.

Drop me an email: Nickrwhite15@gmail.com if you do get lucky and want to sort.

Well, yes, what you're wanting to do is against the UEFA ticketing T&Cs and against Travel Club rules. But I've observed over the last 4 weeks that people have been driving a coach and horses through the rules with no reported adverse consequences.

If you were to offload your ESTC category 3 ticket then you would have to find a way of getting it from your phone to the phone of someone else. There have been a number of threads about this and the solution always appears to involve this other person logging into the app on their phone using your email address. (You would first have had to log out of the app on your phone and then send this other person a registration code to log in as you.) This solution would not work in your circumstances because you would need to use your email address yourself to log into the app on your phone otherwise you would not be able to receive and use the ticket which you sourced from the UEFA general public sale portal.

As an aside to anyone who has transferred their 'lead booker' ticket for a previous match to someone else, have you made sure that the other person logged out of the app after using your ticket. If they haven't logged out then you might not be able to log into the app yourself and receive your ticket to the final because your email address is already in use on their phone. In fact, your ticket would be sent to their phone.

I know it is a long shot, I am an ESTC member looking for a ticket. If any are going spare I am happy to pay more, however online prices are a joke! If anyone can help I'd appreciate it

blogs: Tim Vickery: A World Cup in every sense

Two World Cup Finals are being replayed in this week’s 2014 semi finals. The Germans seek revenge for their 2-0 defeat in 2002 when they meet Brazil – amazingly only the second time these giants have ever met in the tournament. And Holland were the closest – so far – a European team has ever come to winning the World Cup in South America when they hit the post with almost the last kick of normal...

blogs: Sue Smith: England can bounce back

There’s no doubt England can bounce back – the women’s team did it after the 2007 World Cup by going all the way in Euro 2009. Although we lost against Germany in the final of those Euros, there was a sense of achievement and progress...

blogs: Graeme Le Saux: Cool-hand Luke can handle price-tag

Having a hefty price tag can weight heavy on your shoulders – it certainly did for me when I moved back to Chelsea in 1997 for £5.5m. At the time I was the most expensive English defender and there was a lot of pressure that came with that. I found it quite hard and Luke Shaw now finds himself in a similar position after moving to Manchester United for £30m. It does make you look at things differently...

blogs: Graeme Le Saux: It’s time to give England’s players a break

There’s no doubt England’s players will be disappointed with the way things panned out in Brazil, but they deserve a break after the mentally exhausting season they have all had. They’ll feel like they are coming home prematurely because going into these tournaments you always think that you’re good enough to progress, so to lose their first two games and be out of the World Cup this early will...

blogs: John Hemmingham: Fresh faces give us cause for hope

In my years following England I’ve seen some great players come and go – and teams rise and fall. I can say with pride that I saw every game David Beckham played for England and I have also been privileged enough to have seen all of Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard’s appearances. Watching the Costa Rica match it was hard to think that it might be both of their final appearances. I remember Gerrard...
