EURO 2020

UEFA EURO 2020

UEFA Portal Question

My son (who is under 18) has a profile on the UEFA app. When I’ve tried to buy general tickets for him on there it says you can’t as he is U18

Therefore not tried to use any access codes as of yet for fear of them being rejected

However the ESTC age rules differ so if I do use an access code will this override the UEFA U18 rule?

Cheers in advance

How have you tried to buy his tickets ? He can't buy a ticket through his own UEFA ticketing account because that would make him the lead booker for that order. The lead booker cannot be under 18 because such a person cannot enter a legally binding contract.

What you need to do is, when you buy your own ticket through your UEFA account, buy one for him too as your guest. Note also that this is the only way you can ensure that you are sat together.

For every match, the FA announcements include a link to their Sales Guide. If you read that carefully, especially steps 5 and 6, you will see how to secure your own ticket then loop back to secure your son's ticket before going to the next step.

Do read the Sales Guide before tickets go on sale and make sure you know what to do as the sale has to be completed within a time limit.

    In reply to David Lilley:

Thanks DL to be honest I haven’t read the sales guide on previous ballots as he’s been tied up with work apart from 2 games where his mate had bought in the general uefa sale anyway

I knew there must’ve been a way but couldn’t think where to look

blogs: Sue Smith: England’s forward focus can rattle Uruguay

Before every tournament most people are guilty of thinking a bit higher of England than they probably should - me included, I thought we would beat Italy 2-0! But despite the result I think we must take lots of positives from the performance. It was great to see the players actually go for it in the match and I thought we were quite entertaining. Raheem Sterling was great - every time he got the ball he looked dangerous...

blogs: Graeme Le Saux: Deny Luis Suarez space and England can prevail

How do you stop Luis Suarez? The key for England will be communication and getting tighter defensively than they did against Italy. There was an uncertainty and a vulnerability to England's defence, particularly down the left, on Saturday night...

blogs: John Hemmingham: Even Balotelli’s fiancée knows this band on the run

There is no better place to be as the leader of England’s band than at a World Cup in Brazil – but the one downside is we don’t know if we’ll be allowed to play inside the stadiums! This country has two loves, music and football...

blogs: Tim Vickery: Brazil-Spain jostles for position as football's new super-rivalry

Now might be a good time to remind everyone that Spain lost their first match in the last World Cup – and look what happened to them! And so, to take our minds off the result in Manaus, I decided to have a look at one of world football’s most...

blogs: Adrian Bevington: The connection between England’s players and fans at a World Cup cannot be overestimated

Even now I can recall it perfectly. Lucio stumbled and miscontrolled when heading towards his own goal, and Michael Owen seized the moment. I knew at that point, in Shizuoka in 2002, that Michael would score. And I have to confess that at that moment I really did think we are going to win the World Cup. It is an emotion that takes over you, and although it didn’t turn out to be correct, one of the great pleasures...
