I was in block 505 for cat 2 ticket for all the group games. Seems to be random which tier as was in 106 for Germany with cat 2. Cat 2 seems to just mean in one of the corners

I was in Block 505 category two for all the group games, price wise it’s steep but have to remember it is a semi final.
The view from up there is pretty impressive all the same.

Makes no sense with any of the categories as I purchased cat 1 for Germany and my friend purchased cat 3 and sat in the same block as me in the lower tier corner. I am also pissed off as I purchased cat 2,in the gods of 504. How can that be?

No answer to the pricing - that’s UEFA for you. For the Croatia match we got Cat 2 and we ended up in Block 506 row 31, literally with our backs to the outside wall of the stadium ! Hopefully, like then, with the right result, the price will end up as a distant memory.

    Yup, Block 504 row 30.

Hopeless, but at least I'm there.

Like it or loathe it, UEFA have been pretty clear about ticket categories - showing it on a stadium plan as well:

    support.tickets-euro2020.uefa.com/.../360010520779-Where-are-the-various-price-categories-located-in-the-stadiums-

So, yes, Block 504 is clearly Category 2 (and is, in fact, pretty close to Category 1)

I got 108 for the semi in Cat 3 which I am very happy with. All seems a bit random.

I have been completely ripped of as decided to go for Cat 1 as I can’t see when everyone stands up as I am not even 5 foot tall paid Euro595 for Block 503 row 16 - an expensive lesson learnt

The 2 combined factors here are Uefa. If you just had the best views as Cat 1, then that would probably halve the amount of cat 1 tickets, so a big money loss for Uefa. Add that to the Uefa ticketing website where you cant choose from any seat that is unsold at the time, so you 'gamble' on a higher Cat being a better seat.

They have certainly been changing the catorgories to suit ticket sales. For SF1 I got a Cat 3 Ticket in Block 525 row 38, pretty much bang on the halfway line. Last night I had Cat 1 in 523 Row 12, two blocks closer to the corner flag and basically in line with the by-line.

We were in 507. That's got to be the best 350 Euros you've ever spent mate.

Jake, did you get last nights semi final ticket from the ESTC ? Wonder if that makes a difference as well. (it shouldnt)

I dont mind paying more for a better seat, but when its so random its hard to decide .

Both was from the Uefa Ticket Portal, I was just happy to land a ticket, so im not complaining. I was just pointing out that uefa dont seem to be as transparent as they are making out.

blogs: Graeme Le Saux: Youth or experience for second Miami test?

The game against Honduras tonight is the final chance for a player to stake their claim for that World Cup opener against Italy next Saturday, and warm-up matches are key - just look at Michael Owen at France 98. The build-up to this tournament and that one 16 years ago is similar in many ways because there was a lot of experience in that England squad that I played in, and Michael really burst onto the scene. It was...

blogs: David Stone: Marvellous Miami is just like I pictured it

I've been to the US a few times before, but Miami really lives up to every cultural stereotype you can think of. It's big, bright and brash, not to mention full of hordes of identically-dressed, beautiful people. I’ve been to watch the Miami Marlins, the city's baseball team, in a local derby against the Tampa Bay Rays. While the stadium itself was two-thirds empty, the dozen or so England fans there...
