Seems farcical that here we are in 2021 and you can’t select if you want upper or lower tier. But there we are.

I made this point on the Facebook page as well. Most Prem grounds and concerts you get to choose from whats left. But this is Uefa. Their objective is to sell the tickets , so it may stop people buying if they know what section they would be in.
Fans First are the cheapest tickets, and it does say on the Uefa website that these are likely to be on the very front 3 rows or the very back 3 rows .
But from the Germany game I was at, the whole stadium was rocking in all tiers, and hopefully it will be Wednesday (and Sunday ) too.

Block 514. I've been up in the Gods every match. I don't know what you lot are all moaning about. We are lucky (1) to get tickets (2) to get category 3s and (3) to get them at a less unreasonable price than everyone else. You get a good view and it is not the sterile atmosphere of the past

Some people are never satisfied. They could throw in free beer and you'd be moaning it was the wrong type

UEFA categorise differently from the FA. The nearer you are to the halfway line, the more expensive it gets

I’m half way up 507 on a Fans First ticket bought right at the start of window 4 today. Absolutely fine by me. If you’re in, you’re in. Can’t wait.

Been in the Upper Tier first four games and did not mind it at all but have 112 for tomorrow night and got my ticket about 1.15pm Sunday so must be pretty random

Bought mine yesterday morning and they are in block 113, seems like a lottery.
I find it funny that we now think €85 for a seat is a "cheap" ticket

Yeah seems to be total lottery because I queried the purchase time myself as to whether that had an impact. But nope. Have been stuck up top for every game since Croatia and for the Denmark one I’m finally back in 110. Like you say it’s totally a lottery as to where they stick you.

blogs: Tim Vickery: A World Cup in every sense

Two World Cup Finals are being replayed in this week’s 2014 semi finals. The Germans seek revenge for their 2-0 defeat in 2002 when they meet Brazil – amazingly only the second time these giants have ever met in the tournament. And Holland were the closest – so far – a European team has ever come to winning the World Cup in South America when they hit the post with almost the last kick of normal...

blogs: Sue Smith: England can bounce back

There’s no doubt England can bounce back – the women’s team did it after the 2007 World Cup by going all the way in Euro 2009. Although we lost against Germany in the final of those Euros, there was a sense of achievement and progress...

blogs: Graeme Le Saux: Cool-hand Luke can handle price-tag

Having a hefty price tag can weight heavy on your shoulders – it certainly did for me when I moved back to Chelsea in 1997 for £5.5m. At the time I was the most expensive English defender and there was a lot of pressure that came with that. I found it quite hard and Luke Shaw now finds himself in a similar position after moving to Manchester United for £30m. It does make you look at things differently...

blogs: Graeme Le Saux: It’s time to give England’s players a break

There’s no doubt England’s players will be disappointed with the way things panned out in Brazil, but they deserve a break after the mentally exhausting season they have all had. They’ll feel like they are coming home prematurely because going into these tournaments you always think that you’re good enough to progress, so to lose their first two games and be out of the World Cup this early will...

blogs: John Hemmingham: Fresh faces give us cause for hope

In my years following England I’ve seen some great players come and go – and teams rise and fall. I can say with pride that I saw every game David Beckham played for England and I have also been privileged enough to have seen all of Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard’s appearances. Watching the Costa Rica match it was hard to think that it might be both of their final appearances. I remember Gerrard...
