EURO 2020

UEFA EURO 2020

Sales Window 1

The email from the Travel Club says members in Sales Window 1, who must apply between 1 and 4 pm on Sunday July 4th, are guaranteed a Fans First Ticket.

Does this mean that a member can still apply for a higher category ticket if he/she wants to, but it would be scaled down (or up) if that particular category is not available. So I am assuming that if it is being scaled down, then it would reduce to Fans First if  no other ticket in a lower category is available. So you would at least be guaranteed a ticket for the match, even if it is Fans First.

It's  a long time since I completed my original application, but I'm pretty sure I ticked the box to receive  higher or lower category tickets if those I applied for were no longer available.

Most people want the cheapest category, i.e. Fans First for the semifinal. What they're guaranteeing is that, if you're in Sale Window 1, then they'll be a Fans First ticket available for you if you want one. But there will also be higher category tickets available (e.g. Category 3) if you want to choose that instead.

I presume you buy your actual ticket on the UEFA site with the code, so there is no need to scale up or down. You can buy any ticket that is available, they just guarantee that in that window there will be enough Fans First tickets if you want one.
