UEFA EURO 2020

Follow My Team England - Semi / Final

Hi all. This is probably answered already but cant see it.

I had Follow My Team England tickets for the Semi and Final, I didn't return them but they were then refunded. What is the process from here? I'm on 8 active caps. What's my chances of getting them back? Cheers all.

    In reply to Dan McMullen:

    Hi Dan

No-one really knows the true allocation we'll get and neither  that how many are left in group 1.

Have a search on the recent threads on here on the rules on how they'll be distributed. I've pasted the link three times already today on threads but multiple 70/20/10 ballots within the group's seem favourite if the allocation isn't sufficient to fulfill requests.

    Good luck

    In reply to David Lilley:

If you look at the official attendances for the four sold out games involving England at Wembley so far, they are at least / around 2,500 under the reduced capacity.

Are UEFA not including the 2,500 'guests' in the attendance figures?

If that were the case, then the actual number of tickets on sale for the final would be 57,500 or 65,000.

It has been widely reported that both semi-final and final will have 75% or 60,000 - the press aren't very good at facts or maths anyway!

With a bit of hindsight, the ESTC allocation of effective (minus guest) capacity would've been 13.7% for the group matches, 9.9% for the R16 (albeit a bit of a moot point being a different ground), QF (7.4%), SF (11.7%) and Final (12.2%).

In the event, the initial ETSC allocations for reduced capacities have been 15.4% (Croatia), 14.8% (Scotland), Czech Republic (14.3%) and Germany (17.3%).

I therefore don’t believe we can make any accurate predictions of any potential allocations at this stage.

One thing I would like to know, is that the Fans First tickets were originally available for the SF and Final.

If these tickets were to become available again, would they be taken from other ticket price levels or just from the CAT3 level?

If they were in addition to other categories, ETSC could get a bigger allocation than any of us might think right now!

Let’s hope England qualify and we are pleasantly surprised regards allocation!

I was going at add that I actually had 32 caps, but missed out on both Czech Republic (due to code not working) and Germany (as I didn't originally apply for the R16 game in 2019).

    In reply to Dan McMullen:

This is a great point Dan, about being told by the ESTC team how many members returned their Final tickets for a refund.

This could be great information, especially for those of us who didnt return our tickets, but are now unsure if we will still get one from any ESTC ballot. The dilemma, as others have asked, is whether to gamble and buy a ticket from Uefa if they get a chance. Unfortunately its not a cheap gamble to make as they cost many Euros, but if we already knew the figures it would help many decide what to do.

Matt, Im not sure why you think ESTC/Uefa wont know how many returned their tickets? But you are a wiser owl than me !

I can't recall thinking that never mind typing it mate?

UEFA will of course know this and pass this onto the ESTC team.

Its we as members who don't know this!

Whilst we're talking about these members who returned tickets it's worth remembering that the ESTC secured enough tickets in round one of the L16 sale that all members who applied (irrespective whether they returned their tickets) were successful. I.e. all of group 1 and some of group 2.

Obviously that's the L16 and not the, prospective, SF or F though where loads less will have applied to it being an earlier round and the fact it could have been played at multiple foreign stadia.

It was this bit that I thought .."No-one really knows the true allocation we'll get and neither that how many are left in group 1."

Anyway, lets see what the ESTC guys come up with to help us all make some decisions.
There is going to be plenty of Italians trying to snap up Final tickets if they get thru !

    In reply to Peter salnicki:

That was in response to Dan's question on this forum of:

Does anyone know how many 'group 1' members are left for the semi and final (those that originally applied, were successful and decided to keep tickets)

Clearly no-one, on this forum, knows this fella.

As you suggest, let's hope we progress else all of this is a moot point.
