Is it possible to link 2 tickets up for semis as me and my son originally had tickets sat together, how can this be done if it’s possible

With there being more tickets available for the semi-final and final, not only does everyone have a better chance of a ticket in the ballots but also there's an improved chance of getting the category you originally applied for. Nevertheless, if the FA follows the same balloting method and category allocation method as for the group matches, everyone will go into the ballots on an individual basis and it is possible that you and your son, if both successful, could be offered tickets in different categories. This is what the FAQs say

What if my child is offered a different category than me?

This is likely to affect a small number of members for each game who originally applied with children under 18.  After each ballot we will contact the members affected and offer them the opportunity to:

    a) Accept a ticket at the price category allocated to their child in order to attend together*

    b) Decline the child’s ticket and accept the ticket they were initially allocated

    * Offering the child the lower category ticket (equivalent to the adult member’s allocated ticket) would result in another, higher capped member, being allocated a more expensive ticket.

If your son is not a child then you could be stuck with tickets in different categories.

He is over 18

You can choose to add another ticket to your order and then enter your son's access code.

For this match you are not being offered any particular category. You can buy any that are still left when you enter the ticket portal.

As you will see from Team England's email tonight, there will be some Fans First tickets available in sale window 2 but not enough for everybody.

Do take Team England's advice and read their Sales Guide carefully before your ticket sales window opens. If you and your son are to sit together then you must buy both tickets in the same transaction. It is at step 5 that you loop back to buy the second ticket.

There is a risk that, when you go through the loop for the second ticket, the category which you selected for the first ticket might no longer be available. It is not clear what to do then.

blogs: Sue Smith: Never mind the heat, it’s the humidity that gets you

Everyone’s talking about the temperature and humidity in Manaus and of course it’s going to affect the players, but they will have gone through every method to make sure they are in the best possible condition to cope. I was reading that they were in saunas on their breaks and wearing jackets in training and that’s the same sort of things we tried to do in China at the 2007 World Cup. People talk...

blogs: David Stone: Roy's Q & A embraces the fans

Following Wednesday's match we spent the evening out with a load of Ecuador supporters in the Clevelander club on South Beach. Interestingly enough, every member of their group lived in the US and had flown into Miami because it was a chance to see Premier League players. I suspect this was the case with most of the Ecuadorean support, living up to the saying 'you've only come to see the England!' The...
