Philip cannot transfer the ticket legitimately through the app to someone else. The first ticket in any order cannot be transferred but must be kept for the person who submitted the order. Any other tickets in the order can only be transferred to guests who were named on the original application.

Saying that it can't be done legitimately isn't the same as saying that it can't be done. The idea might work. It depends on how well UEFA has programmed its software to detect transactions which are contrary to the T&Cs. Judging from the number of tickets on eBay, Twitter and secondary ticketing sites, they seem have been totally ineffective at preventing illegitimate transfers. But they have detected that Philip was trying to buy tickets to 2 matches on the same day. If he transferred his ticket illegitimately, it may very well disappear from his phone and appear on someone else's. But would this transfer clear the ticket from his UEFA account ? I don't know.

Another no capper who thinks he deserves a ticket over a fan who has caps.

blogs: Tim Vickery: Can England pass Peru's back three test?

When Peru narrowly failed to make the World Cup in 1998, their coach was Juan Carlos Oblitas, a winger from their side of the late 70s and early 80s. Oblitas remains an important voice in the Peruvian game – and he is not happy with the squad that...

blogs: Tim Vickery: Prototype Peru may prove just as welcoming to England as Wembley itself

Peru have not only been invited to Wembley this Friday to give a South American flavour to England’s World Cup send-off. Presumably, the idea is that the fans will go home happy and the team will get a pre-tournament morale boost. Only goal difference...
