EURO 2020

UEFA EURO 2020

Third Ballot

Hi everyone,

Sorry if this has been covered, but I’m confused on the third ballot.

Does the third ballot include everyone? Or will it just include those who were unsuccessful from the second ballot?

If same as groups, the tickets didn’t go down the priority until everyone in an above priority was offered a ticket so wouldn’t this be the same here?

“Should any tickets remain unsold, or we obtain an additional allocation, by 3pm on Friday 25 June, we will run a ballot for a last-minute sale. The number of remaining tickets will determine who/how many will be entered into this ballot.

Caps cut off for Round 3:

TBD“

Any guidance appreciated

Cheers,

Leo.

Tickets made available via the FA will only be sold to members of the England Supporters Travel Club.

The second ballot was for members who were unsuccessful in the original January 2020 ballot. According to the latest FA News Bulletin, the caps cut-off to be guaranteed a ticket was 7 caps. This means that there were more members in the second ballot than tickets available.

So, the third ballot will be for tickets which were not taken up by members who were successful in the second ballot and it will probably be restricted to members who were unsuccessful in the second ballot.

In the event that it looks like there might be still tickets available after everyone who applied for tickets in 2019 has had a chance to buy in 2021, then the process might be opened up to members who didn't apply in 2019. By that time, time scales will be so short that it would have to be an open sale, fastest finger first.

    Hi mate,

    Thanks for the response.

Sorry I’m aware of it only being ESTC I should’ve made that more clear!

“So, the third ballot will be for tickets which were not taken up by members who were successful in the second ballot and it will probably be restricted to members who were unsuccessful in the second ballot.”

This was the bit I was after!

I’m on 6 caps, and was unsuccessful yesterday, so it was more of a hope that the next ballot they do will be of the remaining lot of us who weren’t successful yesterday rather than it including group 3 who didn’t originally apply.

Selfishly if it is a ballot of those unsuccessful in group 2 I’ll have more of a chance, think we’re on the same page now!

As also hoping a lot of group 1/2 were able to secure there tickets through UEFA’s general sale on Tuesday & so their ticket remains unsold.

I hope that it isn't restricted and all of us are balloted equally based on our Euro 2020 caps.
Then again I would say that wouldn't I

I would have thought ultimately they’ll go through the ones who applied but were unsuccessful until none left before opening to those who didn’t apply, but we all want what suits us I guess hahaha!

Any updates on if an extra allocation can be obtained by 15.00 so there is a need for the third ballot.

I saw a couple of reports on Twitter this morning ( 1 quoting the Daily Telegraph the other was a German language publication ) that said the DFB were only selling to UK based German nationals and were anticipating returning some of their tickets. I would suggest the ESTC are trying to acquire this allocation.

I saw according to one paper we are due an extra 5,400 tickets. As they have only taken 2,000 out of their 7,400 allocation.

Just off the phone to FA. No news on extra allocation or if/when group 3 tickets will apply. If it does again depending on number available to decide on 70/20/10 or not.

    Therefore no new news !!

    In reply to Richard Alsop:

Unsure if we will get more allocation but there will definitely be some extra tickets through the unsold as some travel club members did get theirs through the uefa sale and so that would free up their ESTC for the rest of us, guess it all depends on the figure.

I’m unsure as to why it says “Round 3 – From 11am on Saturday 26 June until sold out:
Should any tickets remain unsold, or we obtain an additional allocation, by 3pm on Friday 25 June, we will run a ballot for a last-minute sale.” When the successful ones out of group 2 have until 4pm to purchase a ticket - meaning there could still yet be unsold tickets after 3pm?

    In reply to Leo Valdmanis:

Optimistically hoping there’s a good few hundred tickets unsold through people getting there’s through UEFA & a 70/20/10 is done for the rest of those unsuccessful in group 2.

blogs: Graeme Le Saux: Youth or experience for second Miami test?

The game against Honduras tonight is the final chance for a player to stake their claim for that World Cup opener against Italy next Saturday, and warm-up matches are key - just look at Michael Owen at France 98. The build-up to this tournament and that one 16 years ago is similar in many ways because there was a lot of experience in that England squad that I played in, and Michael really burst onto the scene. It was...

I've been to the US a few times before, but Miami really lives up to every cultural stereotype you can think of. It's big, bright and brash, not to mention full of hordes of identically-dressed, beautiful people. I’ve been to watch the Miami Marlins, the city's baseball team, in a local derby against the Tampa Bay Rays. While the stadium itself was two-thirds empty, the dozen or so England fans there...
