UEFA EURO 2020

Will they show the Wales v Denmark before the Italy v Austria game at Wembley

Sorry I know it's not England related but I'm going to the Italy v Austria game on Saturday at 8pm but my Entry Time Slot is 5pm-5:30pm. Could anyone who went to the England v Scotland tell me if they showed the earlier game in the stadium?

Thanks

Philip Earnshaw

Don't worry about the time slot - I haven't heard of anyone being questioned about arriving later than their allocated slot so you could watch most of the Wales game in a pub (unless it goes to extra time/pens) and still get in ok at 7.30ish especially as I believe the capacity is still only 22500 until England's game on Tuesday so it's actually the quickest I've ever entered Wembley (other than for a mid week game at the old Wembley against Chile in the late 80s which had about 15,000!)

Good to know. Have never been in early enough to see.

    In reply to Tim Powell:

Can confirm that was the time I went in on Tuesday with absolutely no issues. By doubling the numbers for the last 16 it may be a bit more slow getting in but not once did I queue for either checkpoint or gate.

Finally got a response from Wembley, they confirmed they won't be showing the game.

Four years ago, Ecuador coach Reinaldo Rueda was in charge of Honduras, and he experienced at first hand one of the problems of the World Cup. If the players are not used to the pressure and the glamour of the tournament, then the whole thing can pass...

blogs: Tim Vickery: Can England pass Peru's back three test?

When Peru narrowly failed to make the World Cup in 1998, their coach was Juan Carlos Oblitas, a winger from their side of the late 70s and early 80s. Oblitas remains an important voice in the Peruvian game – and he is not happy with the squad that...

blogs: Tim Vickery: Prototype Peru may prove just as welcoming to England as Wembley itself

Peru have not only been invited to Wembley this Friday to give a South American flavour to England’s World Cup send-off. Presumably, the idea is that the fans will go home happy and the team will get a pre-tournament morale boost. Only goal difference...
