EURO 2020

UEFA EURO 2020

Rome Qtr final

I know I am getting ahead of myself but....

I have tickets for Rome through UEFA sale, I am sure many of us have.

Does anyone think we have any chance of actually getting there ? (5 days quarantine when landing and 10/5 days when home). I cannot see a bubble flight like the CL final, although that would be perfect.

Not sure what options we have other than desperately trying to find a buyer in Rome for them!

Wembley holds the Semifinals and the final, with Italy aspiring to be in both massively important matches, surely Gov Minister for Sport Oliver Dowden can leverage a covid safe reciprocal deal for travel in such unique circumstances,it will obviously have to be quite regimented, but most of us including travelling Italians would surely accept this!
Any that don’t accept the conditions, need not apply!

Yeah I can’t see them changing their stance so it’s either risk a land border or miss the Germany game and hope.
As was mentioned earlier there has been talk of easing quarantine at least for the double vacced but this is apparently not coming into effect till next month at some point so of zero use to those of you in that position now.

    Dear England Fan

We know now Englands route to glory at this years European Championship.

    29/6/21 Last 16 - Wembley
    3/7/21 Quarter Final - Rome
    7/7/21 Semi Final - Wembley
    11/7/21 Final – Wembley

We are looking at operating a trip to Rome and are in active conversations with airlines about running trips to this game on the 3rd July should England qualify for the Quarter Final.

The situation changes surrounding travel seemingly on a daily basis which is why we will be keeping the conversation open with airlines and travel partners.

The current situation according to latest government guidance is upon arrival into Italy we would require a 5 day quarantine period. Italy is also currently on the Amber list for the UK which means we would have to quarantine for 10 days after return.

We will of course update if and when the situation changes and we are able to offer a trip.

We hope to you see soon!

    COME ON ENGLAND!

Thanks for putting that up Lee,the contact name at SportOps is Mark Saward, the more I read through the official channels about travel to mainland Europe it seems our chances of going to Rome are vanishingly thin if not zero!
On a pragmatic note it’s worked out blindingly well that all but one match will be at Wembley!
A significant report released today that only a relative handful of positive covid transmissions occurred during a myriad of sporting pilot events, this should surely supplement a rethink of any crowd limits to the Euro semifinals and final, should England be involved in either or both, this evidence coupled with Boris Johnson’s clumsy populism should make the withdrawal of capacity restrictions a slam dunk?!?!

There have been no exemptions for any fans for any game so far, so no chance the Gerrmans will get one for their Rome QF if there are restrictions for Germans travelling to Italy.

Agreed,I was indulging in a large dose of wishful thinking on receipt of the SportOps email regarding Rome,I’ve kinda switched to hoping restrictions on attendances be lifted for Semifinals and finals at Wembley so a full house can watch, and hopefully be full of English fans, results permitting,I’m not so concerned about those travelling to England as there’s little chance of air travel changing significantly in such a short space of time!

If anyone has 2 UEFA spares for this let me know as would definitely take these off your hands. cat 3 preferred. I am double jabbed and am a dual national with a US passport so luckily no issues with entering Italy.

blogs: Graeme Le Saux: Youth or experience for second Miami test?

The game against Honduras tonight is the final chance for a player to stake their claim for that World Cup opener against Italy next Saturday, and warm-up matches are key - just look at Michael Owen at France 98. The build-up to this tournament and that one 16 years ago is similar in many ways because there was a lot of experience in that England squad that I played in, and Michael really burst onto the scene. It was...

blogs: David Stone: Marvellous Miami is just like I pictured it

I've been to the US a few times before, but Miami really lives up to every cultural stereotype you can think of. It's big, bright and brash, not to mention full of hordes of identically-dressed, beautiful people. I’ve been to watch the Miami Marlins, the city's baseball team, in a local derby against the Tampa Bay Rays. While the stadium itself was two-thirds empty, the dozen or so England fans there...

blogs: Tim Vickery: Honduras and Professor Suarez lie in wait for Hodgson's hopefuls
