EURO 2020

UEFA EURO 2020

R16 Ticket

What are my chances of getting a ticket in our allocation for the R16? I kept my ticket from last year etc which was through the ESTC. On 45 Caps.

Thread above will show you how to work out what allocation you need to be in the 70%.

    In reply to Reza Greaves:

Unless there is a screw up with the ticketing system you should be fine.

But I recently joined the LTA thinking this year would be a good one to get Wimbledon tickets. Paid my £30, got an access code, put 2 tickets in the basket for the men’s singles final, entered payment details and hit send. Got an order number and a note saying ‘in progress’. Went back into the account later that day and the sale had been cancelled because a problem occurred with their system, nothing to do with me or my card. I they don’t give a flying ****. Part of me wasn’t bothered as I’ll be watching England in the final that evening anyway, but that’s not the point.

So whilst it should be 100% for you, experience tells me there is no such thing as 100% when it comes to good news.

Assuming I have read this correctly, I would need us to get roughly 1800 tickets to be guaranteed?

That's it -1893 is the worse case if everyone above you had purchased through the ESTC if you were previously on 45 caps

Any thoughts on there being some priority for my situation where I had the round of 16 tickets from the ESTC sale for Dublin/Copenhagen and didn’t send them back when given the chance?

    In reply to Peter Titmus:

If you mean priority between the groups:

Those that purchased and subsequently returned them

    and

Those that purchased and didn't return

Then no priority for the L16 match (and separately theQF) at all. They'll all be considered in group 1.

The ESTC published this some time ago in the initial email and news article about how they were going to approach the rejigged sales.

For the knockout games, my assumption is that far fewer tickets would have been applied for and allocated to England fans. Let’s say for R16 that was 3,000 and that say 10% sent those tickets back when given the chance. Are you saying that the 2,700 and 3,000 will be treated the same? And how will these groups be treated compared to those members who didn’t purchase in the first place for this game?

If you didn’t apply for tickets in the R16 back in 2019! What’s the chances of getting a ticket? Is the ballot for those only that applies for tickets first time around?

    In reply to Peter Titmus:

Yep I'm saying exactly that (for the L16 and QF). The returns are irrelevant for these two rounds.

I'd familiarise yourself with the guidance that was sent out on the 23/4 Peter.

Thanks Matthew. I’d like to think that the away allocations in Dublin/Copenhagen might not be too different (and maybe even lower) compared to what we may get allocated in a 45k crowd at Wembley, ie if you were successful in those ballots in 2019 you’d be pretty unlucky to miss out this time. I was on 26 caps so a bit middle-middle in terms of the pecking order if it came down to caps, I guess. It would be nice to hear something official anyway!
