Out of interest, where the tickets on the UEFA site on general sale or only available to those who had tickets originally for the game through UEFA?

Does a little somewhat if 30,000 are going to their first England next Tuesday and those who have followed home and away for the past several years aren’t!

seemed to have missed the boat again. the england last 16 is not showing at all on the ticket portal. is anyone else seeing this game. the wales game is on their showing sold out. why is that not showing for the england game. is it likely more will become available.

It showed from about 12.40 to around 3. I only heard about it myself around 2 and from then on tickets were regularly coming up but like others I found every time I selected them I was told they were no longer available. Unless you got in at the start you would have needed the patience of a Saint to buy tickets on that shitty system.

The tickets were on general sale, so no code was needed, nor was it restricted to those who had lost tickets from the original sale window.
However, having read a couple of posts on here, I hear that UEFA sent out an email to those that had lost tickets telling them about the sale but, literally as it had begun - rather than with the 24 hour exclusive window that people were told they would get. Which would **** me off, no end.
Ultimately, my take on it is, the more of travel club members who secured tickets today the better for ESTC members further down the caps table - who will be offered tickets in later ballots, as tickets are freed up from today’s buyers. (Hope that makes sense!).

thats correct nick ...but i suspect there will be the general public people that purchased some that will end up on e bay or some other outlet at an inflated price ...and were able to buy 4.... sometimes seems pointless paying out thousands travelling etc etc only to see people who have never been to a single game go to the match

Has anyone who purchased through general sale today had their tickets come through via the app yet?

Nope, nothing yet. It does say no later than 5 days before the game on the email, so there’s a little bit of time left before we need to panic!

blogs: Tim Vickery: A World Cup in every sense

Two World Cup Finals are being replayed in this week’s 2014 semi finals. The Germans seek revenge for their 2-0 defeat in 2002 when they meet Brazil – amazingly only the second time these giants have ever met in the tournament. And Holland were the closest – so far – a European team has ever come to winning the World Cup in South America when they hit the post with almost the last kick of normal...

blogs: Sue Smith: England can bounce back

There’s no doubt England can bounce back – the women’s team did it after the 2007 World Cup by going all the way in Euro 2009. Although we lost against Germany in the final of those Euros, there was a sense of achievement and progress...

blogs: Graeme Le Saux: Cool-hand Luke can handle price-tag

Having a hefty price tag can weight heavy on your shoulders – it certainly did for me when I moved back to Chelsea in 1997 for £5.5m. At the time I was the most expensive English defender and there was a lot of pressure that came with that. I found it quite hard and Luke Shaw now finds himself in a similar position after moving to Manchester United for £30m. It does make you look at things differently...

blogs: Graeme Le Saux: It’s time to give England’s players a break

There’s no doubt England’s players will be disappointed with the way things panned out in Brazil, but they deserve a break after the mentally exhausting season they have all had. They’ll feel like they are coming home prematurely because going into these tournaments you always think that you’re good enough to progress, so to lose their first two games and be out of the World Cup this early will...

blogs: John Hemmingham: Fresh faces give us cause for hope

In my years following England I’ve seen some great players come and go – and teams rise and fall. I can say with pride that I saw every game David Beckham played for England and I have also been privileged enough to have seen all of Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard’s appearances. Watching the Costa Rica match it was hard to think that it might be both of their final appearances. I remember Gerrard...
