Has anyone actually been successful in this ticket window?

Am wondering if UEFA portal has just said no from the start - can't believe over 500 people have tried to buy Cat1 tickets at 185euro off the bat within 10 mins to justify total sell out....

I had a category 1 in basket but then it crashed. Missed out again. Bitterly disappointed. Really hope the knockouts are a bit different with capacity.

Caps don't come into this and there is little point having them. All they are is a chance to enter a lottery with others who may or may not have caps too. The integrity of the system is broken.

Not sure i agree with this. Those that had enough caps were rightly guaranteed one when they first went on sale.

I also had a ticket but would not allow me to pay for it. Watched the 10 minutes go along with my ticket. A disgrace.

Portal is getting more painful every experience. One thing you need is perseverance, if it comes up as no ticket is available, just keep trying and hitting refresh. The worse thing is the timer once you have your ticket. I was given 4mins to complete mine and of course it just timed out. The 2nd time I got in the timer was 15mins and that was enough (only just!).

Imagine what it would be like getting to the final. Cat 1 is £769 and Cat 2 is £511!

blogs: Tim Vickery: A World Cup in every sense

Two World Cup Finals are being replayed in this week’s 2014 semi finals. The Germans seek revenge for their 2-0 defeat in 2002 when they meet Brazil – amazingly only the second time these giants have ever met in the tournament. And Holland were the closest – so far – a European team has ever come to winning the World Cup in South America when they hit the post with almost the last kick of normal...

blogs: Sue Smith: England can bounce back

There’s no doubt England can bounce back – the women’s team did it after the 2007 World Cup by going all the way in Euro 2009. Although we lost against Germany in the final of those Euros, there was a sense of achievement and progress...

blogs: Graeme Le Saux: Cool-hand Luke can handle price-tag

Having a hefty price tag can weight heavy on your shoulders – it certainly did for me when I moved back to Chelsea in 1997 for £5.5m. At the time I was the most expensive English defender and there was a lot of pressure that came with that. I found it quite hard and Luke Shaw now finds himself in a similar position after moving to Manchester United for £30m. It does make you look at things differently...

blogs: Graeme Le Saux: It’s time to give England’s players a break

There’s no doubt England’s players will be disappointed with the way things panned out in Brazil, but they deserve a break after the mentally exhausting season they have all had. They’ll feel like they are coming home prematurely because going into these tournaments you always think that you’re good enough to progress, so to lose their first two games and be out of the World Cup this early will...

blogs: John Hemmingham: Fresh faces give us cause for hope

In my years following England I’ve seen some great players come and go – and teams rise and fall. I can say with pride that I saw every game David Beckham played for England and I have also been privileged enough to have seen all of Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard’s appearances. Watching the Costa Rica match it was hard to think that it might be both of their final appearances. I remember Gerrard...
