Rules for travel to Copenhagen

Just thinking ahead if/when we fail to beat the Czechs on Tuesday. Do we have to self isolate once in Denmark?

I'm getting my 2nd jab on Monday, does this mean anything yet?

    Check out this thread and someone on there said if you have both jabs you can travel with no Covid test or quarantine.

    From the Danish Government website:

    To be considered “fully vaccinated”, the following requirements apply:

    The vaccine is approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA)
    a minimum of 14 days and a maximum of 8 months have passed since completion of the vaccine program
    If you have received AstraZeneca as the first dose and an mRNA vaccine (Moderna or Pfizer / BioNTech) as the second dose, it will also be considered as a completed vaccination program.

    If we travel with 2 jabs in order, as above, is it still possible to buy tickets in the host city from anywhere?
    Will our FA have a hotel room as at usual away matches, or maybe a shed outside the stadium for pre purchased tickets?
    Can we buy tickets off locals or the Danish FA?
    Or are they only available through the UEFA website?
    Does anyone from Team England have time to respond please? :-)

    14 days need to have past once your 2nd dose has been administered for you to avoid the need to test or self isolate. Also depends which part of England you live. There's a colour code in place in Denmark with the different colour codes reflecting if you need to self test or self isolate.
    Additionally ypu will need a PCR test 48 hours before travel or you will not be allowed on a flight leaving the UK regardless of the entry requirements of Denmark. These are the rules of the different airlines that operate flights to Denmark.

    Your 2nd dose won't be administered in time Clarke. 14 days have to have past from your 2nd dose to avoid self testing or isolation. Also depends where in England you live.
    Go on the GovUK website and search entry requirements for Denmark, all the info is on there.

    There is another scenario if we lose to the Czechs tomorrow - there's a 1 in 3 chance that we'll play the winner of Group E in Glasgow on the night of the 29 June and it's a good chance it will be Sweden ie we could actually get an easier team and more convenient venue than if we come second and from an opposition point of view, even first.

    Glasgow would be awful. Sturgeon and Police Scotland would put so many restrictions in place meaning it will be a dire experience.

    Wouldn’t that need Scotland to also beat Croatia? I think we can only finish third if Scotland and the Czechs win tomorrow, and there’s a big enough swing in goal difference.
    If we lose tomorrow and Croatia win, I think we finish second by virtue of our head-to-head record against Croatia. UEFA’s website says head-to-head is the first determinant to separate teams finishing level in points.
    Not impossible that we’ll finish third, but probably unlikely.

    That's correct - only Scotland can take second place from us which they'd do with a 3 goal swing eg if they beat Croatia 2-0 and we lost 1-0, they'd go second by virtue of goals scored (which as we know from bitter experience, could actually happen!)

    The head to head rule means that if Croatia won 10-0 and we lost 10-0, we'd actually still remain above them in second place.

    Looks like to play in Glasgow, as well as us finishing 3rd, we'd need the 3rd placed teams in both Group E and F to be amongst the four 3rd placed team which go through. Too many permutations to consider!

    Hi Ray. Where did you read that the airlines require a PCR test 48 hours before you travel? There's no mention of that on the ryanair website, just that you have to meet the requirements of the country you're travelling to.

    This is relatively useful Paul, has links to entry requirements for all host countries. As it stands the 48 hour PCR is mentioned for Denmark. As it stands I won’t be going anywhere. One dose and no time to be fannying around for 5 days in Denmark make it an impossible task. Annoyingly would actually be fine isolating on return as plan to miss the quarters (too much of a risk on the semis) anyway.

    The 48 hour PCR test is only mentioned if you're coming from a red region like Blackburn or Bedford. Otherwise it states:

    Entry to Denmark - fully vaccinated

    Fully vaccinated UK residents can enter Denmark for all purposes, without the need to test or self-isolate. Two weeks must have passed since your second dose and the vaccine must be one approved by the European Medicines Agency.

    As it is I won't be going - trying to sell my house isn't compatible with self-isolating for ten days on returning. It's crazy that we, if vaccinated, would not need to self-isolate when we arrive in Denmark, which has a much lower infection rate than the UK, but have to isolate when we return.
