EURO 2020

UEFA EURO 2020

Additional Tickets Secured for Czech Republic

We are pleased to announce that we have managed to obtain an additional allocation of tickets from UEFA for Czech Republic v England which takes place on Tuesday 22 June 2021.

Due to the short space of time between now and the match taking place, the sale will operate on a first-come-first-served basis to ensure all tickets are sold.

The ballot will be conducted using the 70/20/10% rule, however, more members will be given access to the sale than the number of tickets we have available to ensure that all remaining tickets are purchased.

Those who are successful in the ballot will be sent an email no later than 8pm on Saturday 19 June stating that they have been successful in the ballot.

Successful members will then be sent their access code, on Sunday 20 June,  once the sale opens.

The sale will run from 11am on Sunday 20 June until all tickets are sold out, via UEFA's Ticketing Website.

Please be aware that you will only receive an email about the ballot if you have been successful.

If you have not received an email by 10pm on Saturday 19 June then, unfortunately, you have not been successful

.

Please be aware this ballot is for Czech Republic only and an access code is not a guarantee of a ticket.

I'm pretty sure I read that the knockouts will be the same, there will be no priority for top cappers when buying tickets on the portal...just a free for all. Hopefully the FA read these comments and change it.

I can't recall seeing that. Can you dig out where you've seen it please?

I'd hope that if this fastest finger HAD to be used then it would be for the third sales like the Scotland and Czech matches  (I e. When the matches are so close it's difficult for any other method).

Remember back that the first and second sales for these two matches both went, fully on, 70/20/10 and there was a sales window.

Maybe shorter time periods of sale windows for these sales?

Doesn’t sound right to me. Can’t believe they go away from the cap system for the knockout games

    In reply to Daniel Springett:

You would like to think that those who had tickets for the L16 game would be the only ones given a code. If that number is 4800 as widely stated, then those codes should have a 24hr sale window. After this window closes then a 2nd ballot for any unsold tickets could be held.
It would make a mockery of the caps system if 16000 codes are issued for 4800 tickets.
Appreciate that the timescales are tight, and UEFA want to maximise sales, however, this should be technically feasible...Assuming that England win on Tuesday they will have a whole week (6 days minimum) to sort this...

Frustrating that just gone 11.00 cat 3 tickets were available then system crashes, by the time I got back on at 11.08 the only tickets available were cat 1 however other members purchased cat 3 tickets after 11.08.

ETSC put this out on April 22:
'Ballots will be conducted based on the ticket holders who did not choose to return their tickets to UEFA, meaning you will not need to re-apply. However, should England progress to the Round of 16 and or Quarter Finals, we will conduct the ballots for these matches with all members who were originally successful for tickets, regardless of whether they returned them or not, due to the ambiguity over venues, travel restrictions and ticket refunds'
You would assume from this that if England's R16 is at Wembley then all the 4800 will be given the chance to get their tickets back and be given a window to get them without the mad scramble we've had for Scotland and Czech Republic. Any extras will then be made available later in the week for those who missed out 1st time round.

blogs: Tim Vickery: A World Cup in every sense

Two World Cup Finals are being replayed in this week’s 2014 semi finals. The Germans seek revenge for their 2-0 defeat in 2002 when they meet Brazil – amazingly only the second time these giants have ever met in the tournament. And Holland were the closest – so far – a European team has ever come to winning the World Cup in South America when they hit the post with almost the last kick of normal...

blogs: Sue Smith: England can bounce back

There’s no doubt England can bounce back – the women’s team did it after the 2007 World Cup by going all the way in Euro 2009. Although we lost against Germany in the final of those Euros, there was a sense of achievement and progress...

blogs: Graeme Le Saux: Cool-hand Luke can handle price-tag

Having a hefty price tag can weight heavy on your shoulders – it certainly did for me when I moved back to Chelsea in 1997 for £5.5m. At the time I was the most expensive English defender and there was a lot of pressure that came with that. I found it quite hard and Luke Shaw now finds himself in a similar position after moving to Manchester United for £30m. It does make you look at things differently...

blogs: Graeme Le Saux: It’s time to give England’s players a break

There’s no doubt England’s players will be disappointed with the way things panned out in Brazil, but they deserve a break after the mentally exhausting season they have all had. They’ll feel like they are coming home prematurely because going into these tournaments you always think that you’re good enough to progress, so to lose their first two games and be out of the World Cup this early will...

blogs: John Hemmingham: Fresh faces give us cause for hope

In my years following England I’ve seen some great players come and go – and teams rise and fall. I can say with pride that I saw every game David Beckham played for England and I have also been privileged enough to have seen all of Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard’s appearances. Watching the Costa Rica match it was hard to think that it might be both of their final appearances. I remember Gerrard...
