16% is 7200… but we haven’t been getting 16% of the full capacity. It’s been closer to 13% which is 5850.

The most important figure will be the cut off (70%) from the percentage from which we can glean the cap cut off.

    70% of 7,200 is 5,040, whereas 70% of 5,850 is 4,095.

    In reply to Chris Cannan:

The table from the 27/4/21 on this thread is the one to focus on:

    https://englandsupporters.thefa.com/travelclub/f/21/t/14306#pi9471=29

The magic cap number range, to guarantee, is around 19-24 on the allocation assumptions above.

I love that we're all getting carried away already.

    Hopelessly optimistic aren't we.

    Genuinely love it.

Maybe, but I can't imagine that those teams would be happy about having to face England in a R16 game at Wembley.

Matthew, (getting ahead of myself but...) as for the semi and final, where slightly different rules apply in terms of reallocating, do you recall how many tickets we were allocated?

Here's the article. I got this link from the email the ESTC sent us on 13/5/21.

Note that these are the original reduced numbers (i.e. the ESTC team worked hard to secure more Croatia ones as I expect they'll be doing for the Scotland and Czech Republic).

Actually rereading your post I think you're asking how many semi and final tickets we got before Covid?

    Is that right?

If that is the question I don't know what the exact answer is.

Not sure what the relevance of it is post covid (unless you're trying to get a rough 25%) though so I'll leave that one to someone else.

Thanks Matthew and for the swift response as always. Yes it was re the semi and final.

I was allocated a ticket to both (semi and final) as had tickets for other games through uefa.

If the ballot was done previously and we were able to satisfy, say 8,000 fans through the supporters club, and subsequently got allocated 8,000> tickets in a reduced capacity then I was trying to understand how that may work.

    Thx again

its always a farce.......yet the VIP's and general public who have never been to a game somehow get better treated than us england members, ive been going since japan 2002 and only missed brazil world cup ? dont get me wrong i haven't been to every single game ( blame my ex wife for the divorce payment break :) ) but i still think ive paid my fair share of money to be able to watch a game 45 minds down the road.....bit like everyone i had them all and ended up with chech only so im hopeful at best.........again the replies will come about UEFA etc etc but we could copy and paste that reply from 20 years as it never changes no matter where its held.

When Peru narrowly failed to make the World Cup in 1998, their coach was Juan Carlos Oblitas, a winger from their side of the late 70s and early 80s. Oblitas remains an important voice in the Peruvian game – and he is not happy with the squad that...
