EURO 2020

UEFA EURO 2020

Third ballot and additional tickets for group games

Has there been any updates on this? I just wish they'd let us know either way to be honest. I appreciate the FA are trying their best but it seems UEFA and the government are playing hardball.

Agreed, it is quite frustrating with the game being 4 days away, but i'd rather wait abit longer to find out if it means the FA are able to secure additional tickets

    In reply to Andrew McCarthy:

It all seems a bit ludicrous really. Outside, socially distanced with a negative covid test and proof of vaccination. How much more secure can you get? Feel a bit sorry for Team England having to deliver negative news to us.

Some Supporters will need to do the N.L.F Test prior to attending and this is within 48 hours prior of the time stadium gates open, So would think today or tomorrow.
    Fingers crossed

You can complete the Lateral Flow test on the morning of the game if needed. If anyone thinks they have a decent chance of getting tickets then they should probably order some tests if they haven't already to plan for this

    In reply to Kevin Jenkins:

It's not the lateral flow test that is the problem. But if they announce it today then needs to be at least a 24 hour window for people to purchase i.e Noon Thursday to Noon Friday and then Uefa have to fire the tickets out to the App. In the meantime people have to plan travel too - if there was at least an indication of whether the additional allocation was 100 or 1000 then would have an idea what chances are.

Does anyone have a sense of what will happen to the tickets left over after this 3rd sale? Presumably no chance at all for a 4th ballot, but would they then be sent back to UEFA to put on general sale?

I don't think they will send any back. At some point the FA will decide they just need to go down the caps table emailing people directly or even calling them to see if they want the small number left over. Have heard stories of them doing that during tournaments in the past.

blogs: Tim Vickery: Can England pass Peru's back three test?

When Peru narrowly failed to make the World Cup in 1998, their coach was Juan Carlos Oblitas, a winger from their side of the late 70s and early 80s. Oblitas remains an important voice in the Peruvian game – and he is not happy with the squad that...

blogs: Tim Vickery: Prototype Peru may prove just as welcoming to England as Wembley itself

Peru have not only been invited to Wembley this Friday to give a South American flavour to England’s World Cup send-off. Presumably, the idea is that the fans will go home happy and the team will get a pre-tournament morale boost. Only goal difference...
