EURO 2020

UEFA EURO 2020

Any lucky soul had an email regarding the third ballot yet?

I must’ve checked my email and refreshed The FA website a hundred times today to see if the final announcement had been made!

Yep. First come first served on the categories, but with only 20 cat 3's, I imagine it will be a case of luck whether you can get one of those by refreshing at the right moment!

It tends to be a bit of nonsemse Clarke, it could be a TV gantry is "fairly" near you and one very particular angle you might have to stand or crane your neck. I had one of these at Stuttgart and it was one of the best views in the house! The TV crew were actually below me and it the only thing it could have prevented you seeing was a throw in right below you. Both goal mouths and the centre line were clear as day.

Email from ESTC said access codes will be sent 15-20 mins before the sale starts, so expect something at 10.40-10.45 i guess?

Anyone got the foggiest of how many people are still in Group 1 waiting for tickets? I assume it’s a fair few so I’m not holding out much hope!

I would hazard a very rough guess its still about 6/7000. 12,000 originally allocated tickets, only 3000 ish sold, but some people would have returned them or not bought in previous ballots

    In reply to Paul Jarvis:

I really don't get this whole process. So if people don't want to pay the £150 for a Cat1 are they just going to run a ballot every day until they've managed to sell them all. if they focused more on the fans a bit and binned off a few corporate suits they might create a decent atmosphere.

I would have thought it would be the same as the Nations League where you can transfer the ticket.

blogs: Graeme Le Saux: Youth or experience for second Miami test?

The game against Honduras tonight is the final chance for a player to stake their claim for that World Cup opener against Italy next Saturday, and warm-up matches are key - just look at Michael Owen at France 98. The build-up to this tournament and that one 16 years ago is similar in many ways because there was a lot of experience in that England squad that I played in, and Michael really burst onto the scene. It was...

blogs: David Stone: Marvellous Miami is just like I pictured it

I've been to the US a few times before, but Miami really lives up to every cultural stereotype you can think of. It's big, bright and brash, not to mention full of hordes of identically-dressed, beautiful people. I’ve been to watch the Miami Marlins, the city's baseball team, in a local derby against the Tampa Bay Rays. While the stadium itself was two-thirds empty, the dozen or so England fans there...

blogs: Tim Vickery: Honduras and Professor Suarez lie in wait for Hodgson's hopefuls

The fitness of the Uruguay striker permitting, England have a date with Luis Suarez on 19 June. First, though, comes an encounter with his namesake on Saturday. Honduras are coached by Luis Fernando Suarez – a man who England fans have cause to...

blogs: Sue Smith: Striking a balance is key during a World Cup

Building up to a major international tournament is strange because you’ve spent so long preparing and then all of a sudden you’re playing in a World Cup – you don’t even think about it you just do your job. I would like to think...

blogs: Marios Papaloizou: Football’s friendly fire is my favourite time of year

Somewhere in-between the nerve-racking qualifying campaigns and the unbearable tension that surrounds a major tournament there occasionally lies a perfect storm of happy sentiment that surrounds the England team. Whether it's Peter Crouch's robot...
