UEFA EURO 2020

Entry Conditions for Wembley

Has anything been announced yet regarding the entry conditions for Wembley?

I haven't seen anything about the requirement for Covid tests etc. I am expecting it to be the same conditions as for the Riverside with home lateral flow tests being accepted but given that we are only a week away from the tournament starting it would be good to get some clarity.

I took my test at work today at 1152am they said I will receive a text message and a Email within 30 to 40 minutes still waiting starting to worry a bit

    Still plenty of time.

I won't be doing mine until tomorrow.

Make sure you dont eat or drink for 30 mins before.

Anyone have any bright ideas on proof of ID to get into the stadium tomorrow?Travelling up from Cornwall I have had to go up the day before now and its too late to get passport or driving licence. Was so focused on sorting out the covid stuff I missed this requirement. They could have put it more prominently in the email they sent out yesterday instead of sticking it at the bottom!

Can you get someone from home to scan your driving license or passport and send it you so you can maybe print it out, or have it on a phone?

My plan is to show my old (managed to lose my new) ESTC card but I've also got an old passport and a copy of my current passport too.

I definitely can't be trusted with my current passport where beer and shorts are involved.

    Good luck

"All flags will be checked upon entry. You will need to carry with you the flag’s fire safety certificate to prove it is fireproof."

I did have a chuckle when I read this.

    Yep, no ID checks.
Also, those relying on NHS app - have it ready and logged in advance as it struggled with the (reduced) crowds at the barrier. Not awful, but an unnecessary hassle.
    Everything else, pretty much ok.
    Atmosphere decent.
Beer - Heineken, 5%, £6.90/pint is pricy but we’ve all paid worse. Can’t take it from concourse into stands though, as per usual.
Enjoy everyone - whether here or at home or pub, have a great day.

I took a screen shot of my NHS app before I left home and got in with that no problem.

blogs: Graeme Le Saux: Youth or experience for second Miami test?

The game against Honduras tonight is the final chance for a player to stake their claim for that World Cup opener against Italy next Saturday, and warm-up matches are key - just look at Michael Owen at France 98. The build-up to this tournament and that one 16 years ago is similar in many ways because there was a lot of experience in that England squad that I played in, and Michael really burst onto the scene. It was...

blogs: David Stone: Marvellous Miami is just like I pictured it

I've been to the US a few times before, but Miami really lives up to every cultural stereotype you can think of. It's big, bright and brash, not to mention full of hordes of identically-dressed, beautiful people. I’ve been to watch the Miami Marlins, the city's baseball team, in a local derby against the Tampa Bay Rays. While the stadium itself was two-thirds empty, the dozen or so England fans there...

blogs: Tim Vickery: Honduras and Professor Suarez lie in wait for Hodgson's hopefuls

The fitness of the Uruguay striker permitting, England have a date with Luis Suarez on 19 June. First, though, comes an encounter with his namesake on Saturday. Honduras are coached by Luis Fernando Suarez – a man who England fans have cause to...

blogs: Sue Smith: Striking a balance is key during a World Cup

Building up to a major international tournament is strange because you’ve spent so long preparing and then all of a sudden you’re playing in a World Cup – you don’t even think about it you just do your job. I would like to think...

Somewhere in-between the nerve-racking qualifying campaigns and the unbearable tension that surrounds a major tournament there occasionally lies a perfect storm of happy sentiment that surrounds the England team. Whether it's Peter Crouch's robot...
