EURO 2020

UEFA EURO 2020

A lot of fans Booing the knee tonight

Anyone else think the FA need to drop this gesture for the Euros.

It’s starting to get a bit embarrassing.

Your own team being booed before kick is surely not the way to start a game

Racism goes 2 ways and always has and always will until we’re all AL’s ( wonder what colour we’ll be )

In this day and age in this country the majority of families are multi racial or with people of other religions and are now nowhere near as racist or bigoted as say the 70s and 80s and earlier .

My nans sister married a black man from the Caribbean after the war and they had to live apart and give there first two children up for adoption because white landlords wouldn’t take and neither would the black ones

It’s getting better but it’s not just one way and that I think is the reason people are not supporting BLM or the knee

NOT BECAUSE THEY ARE IDIOTS OR UNEDUCATED MR SOUTHGATE

I've never booed at a game before but if they take the knee on Sunday I will boo, but when they stand up I will be chanting in support of the kick it out campaign. 'kick it out, kick it out, kick it out'! Everyone feel free to join in.

A thoughtful piece, Graham, I'm not sure, though, that, in this country, the majority of families are multi-racial. If you've got the stats to support that, I'd love to see them, please.

Since when did the position of England men's senior football team manager make you responsible for some of the failings of society? Or a public relations officer for social media? In the run-up to a tournament he should be telling us how good we're looking in training, that we're trying a variety of formations and practicing pens! I get 90% of the sentiment of his statement, as it applies to me as an individual. Pride, passion, loyalty, grandad in WWII etc, but now isn't the time and the place for this PR guff. Sorry. We should be totally focussed on winning 7 games on the trot. Nothing more than that this week, thanks.

I didn't boo on Sunday, nor did I clap, I stood and respected the players decision, whether I agree with it or not that is what they have decided to do.

At the same time I don't agree with the persecution and accusations of "wrongthink" for those who do choose to boo the gesture, it's their position let them express it, providing they stay within the law of course.

I've said it many times before for various different reasons covering many different subjects, if aliens ever came down and observed the human race they'd think we were absolutely crackers.

    Seriously!

And just like that Scotland have saved themselves from a massive circus and headache, they can just get on with sorting out the tactics and their fans can just get on with supporting the team instead of being divided and lectured.
Us on the other hand are up to our necks in it.

How’s this for a mad idea

When the ref blows the whistle for the knee why not all start singing “ ENG ER LAND”

Wouldn’t that show Unity of the fans no matter what their opinions are ?

If politicians are getting involved than how does that sit with everyone defending it saying the gesture is not politically motivated?
