EURO 2020

UEFA EURO 2020

A lot of fans Booing the knee tonight

Anyone else think the FA need to drop this gesture for the Euros.

It’s starting to get a bit embarrassing.

Your own team being booed before kick is surely not the way to start a game

My tuppence-worth, One thing that rarely raises a mention is the behaviour of England fans in Bulgaria which probably was a fairer reflection of people these days in England who are tired of racism blighting our sport and that we really just want to get on with watching the game. I'd suggest that the showing of the England fans at the Bulgaria match on the screen for a couple of minutes before a game would have far greater impact than millionaires kneeling. A show of ordinary people supporting black players should generate a lot of positive coverage and also show our players that we are with them.

We talked about this in our household this afternoon.

Waves and waves of anti racism chants from the traveling England fans as the like of Mings were being abused.

A brilliant, we have your backs, moment.

Those same fans are still there. Still wanting to have the teams backs.

    I hope they know this.

Things like this need the support of the majority in the stadiums / sporting events etc .
Once that is not the case and becomes a distraction from the real event then surely it’s time to have a rethink

Hi Garf. I'm interested in the fans match. Where is it taking place? We met in Moscow at "The battle of red Square" as the Times Newspaper called it where the Russian team of ex pros beat the us England fans 15-1. Ouch. The Champagne reception in the posh hotel afterwards was nice though.

I had this sudden realisation tonight that at some stage during the tournament we’ll probably be booing at the end of the match when the players are on their knees for another reason :)

They should get the band to play a tune during it to drown out the boos. Can they play Knees Up Mother Brown?

Speaking of the band, how nice it is for them not to be in attendance in Middlesbrough. Hope it stays that way for the Euros!

Assume you weren't present at the Bulgaria away game?

Assume you haven't seen the reports after every single game of players being racially abused on social media?

    Just one example here... www.independent.co.uk/.../marcus-rashford-racist-abuse-police-b1854909.html

I feel that the England players made the right decision to continue the match and stand together in Sofia, (together for the team and the travelling fans).
Their fans knew they had little chance of winning and had little to lose, we on the other hand had to travel from Prague onto Sofia ,S0 I don't want the team or supporters to suffer by people who couldn't care if the game is stopped and then abandoned.
Hopefully by showing these people that we will not allow their chants, noises, and hand gestures to stop and distract us in our goals and doing what we love..

P.S We have V.A.R for that
