EURO 2020

UEFA EURO 2020

Souvenir Tickets

As all tickets through ESTC were going to be delivered by smart phone app, the spring 2020 application process included the option to request souvenir paper tickets which would be delivered to people's registered address after the tournament.

As we are now having all of our tickets cancelled and refunded, any request for souvenir tickets will also be cancelled and the €15 cost will be included in the refund. This is confirmed in the FA News Bulletin. So, when those members who get tickets in the reduced allocation pay for their tickets, will there be an option to request souvenir tickets again ?

For the Nations League in 2019, UEFA offered the option to request souvenir tickets and many England fans planned to take up this option. The souvenir tickets had to be requested at the time of the ticket application but we weren't told this until after applications closed and I'm pretty sure that this option never appeared on the application page of the ticket website. When people pointed out to UEFA that the option had not been on the web page they were told that the orders couldn't subsequently be changed to include this option.

The 2019 experience makes me suppose that we will not have the option to request souvenir tickets under the proposed system for the reduced ticket allocation. This would be a pity as many ESTC members save their tickets in collections. Imagine England getting to the final and we don't have a paper ticket for the collection.

    Hi Simon

    I don't unfortunately.

This thread is, mostly, about the €15 souvenir tickets ordered when we bought the tickets.

Not the €10 tickets which can purportedly be ordered from the UEFA site.

From reading this thread they may be slightly different too. (And also different from the proper match tickets).

Someone else might be along to help fella.

I ordered a Final Programme off the UEFA store and not received it yet. No idea how long they take. I did not on the souvenir ticket order they said end of August so I imagine a similar timeframe for UEFA Store orders.

Yep agreed. Paid €15 for the Croatia game and have so far received a ticket for the final.

UEFA helpers are not very helpful.

I've just recieved a delivery from FedEx, having paid €15 four times, so once per order, I was expecting to receive a total of 19 tickets for all members that I'd booked for, intstead I only received 2 tickets!! 1 for the semi and 1 for the final. Unreal! Looks like they've totally cocked this up!

Much to my surprise, I got another delivery from FedEx today.

Although I got a printed ticket for the final on the day (due to network / app issues), I did order a souvenir ticket at the same time I ordered my app-ticket.

All my other tickets were delivered together last week.

The final ticket was delivered today. Some very slight differences to the one printed on the day.

All the tickets correspond with my allocated seats on the day.

The whole process does appear to be a bit haphazard. UEFA did say in an email that all tickets should be sent out by the end of August at the latest.

Fortuantely I also got a ticket printed on the day, and I'm glad I did, as although the souvenir ticket does have the correct entrance/seat detail, it does not have my name or the same detail around the type of ticket and price.

My actual final ticket had my name printed on it, along with 'England Fans', it mentioned 'Fans first' and the price in euros, where as the souvenir just says 'Memorabilia' and nothing else.

Given we've had to pay a lot extra for these reprints, I just find it really disapointing that UEFA couldn't just reissue the exact match tickets instead, for me this just demonstrates how out of touch UEFA are with what real fans want, can't say I'm surprised though.

    Update here.

The ESTC team are investigating, with their UEFA contact, UEFAs advice that we needed to pay €15 each time..

We attended the R16 Germany, semi and final. I requested and paid for souvenir tickets for the Germany game, and the final, but not the semi. From what I’d read, if you paid the €15 fee once, which I had when I ordered the Germany tickets, I would receive tickets for all of the games attended, therefore I didn’t order for the semi, but did for the final, just to be sure. Having read previous posts here, I was concerned I would not receive souvenir tickets for the semi, as I hadn’t ordered them. On Friday last week, I received the souvenir tickets for the Germany game by Fedex. Today, I recieved another Fedex delivery which contained my souvenir tickets for both the semi and the final, so I have now received tickets to all of the games we attended, despite not paying for them seperately for the semi final. Therefore, it seems that if you’ve paid the fee once, you should recieve the tickets for all of the games attended, as we were originally advised. Hope this is of help.

blogs: Ian Fenwick: England emerging for bright future

I’m someone who is lucky enough work within the FA and the one thing I can say from my experience is that the future of English football is amazingly bright. Of course it’s not enough to always say that the things are going to be good in...

blogs: Tim Vickery: Belo Horizonte a fair setting for England’s new beginnings

Last time the World Cup came to Brazil, England went to the city of Belo Horizonte to be humiliated; it is the scene of that notorious 1-0 defeat to the United States. Perhaps humiliation is too strong a word this time. After all, England’s 2014 World Cup campaign has been marked by single goal defeats to former world champions, whereas back in 1950 the pride of the old First Division went down to what essentially...

blogs: Graeme Le Saux: England can bounce back if they take a few risks

After the disappointment of the last two games, it’s vital that England take risks against Costa Rica. We don’t need two holding midfielders, Roy Hodgson has to start Adam Lallana over Danny Welbeck and we should switch to three men at the back. There was a clear opportunity against Uruguay and Italy to go to a back three – it would have allowed us to put some of our inventive players into more creative...

blogs: John Hemmingham: Let’s blow our own trumpet for once – come on England!

I’m used to blowing my own trumpet but not when it comes to predictions – I think we’ll get a result against Uruguay, but I thought we’d beat Italy 4-0! You’ve got to be optimistic as an England fan, sometimes it’s blind optimism but if you do what we do you have to believe. I’ve been following England with the band for 18 years now and it has always been the same. Roy Hodgson...

blogs: Tim Vickery: Uruguay may raise their game away from Fortaleza furnace

In the build-up to the World Cup a Uruguayan company launched an imaginative advertising campaign. Draped in a sky blue sheet, the colour of Uruguay’s shorts, the ghost of 1950 wandered around Rio frightening the locals – no one ever here needs reminding that the last time the World Cup was held in Brazil, Uruguay walked off with the trophy. So there was an element of Brazilian joy at Uruguay’s humiliating...
