    In reply to Richard Holland:

I've already paid bank charges to buy the tickets, I'll be paying more on any refunds . . . only to have to buy them again next year. Leave it as it is, for me.

Great question, I’m not planning on going to Qatar and only Iceland tickled my insides but so few tickets are going to be available I wasn’t going to bother renewing this time

    In reply to Paul Horsley:

it seems they want to . that is just not reasonable given that many of us have bought tickets to follow all the way to the final . we should be reimbursed now and given the option to buy based on caps next year. We are facing job losses and business losses, how dare they suggest to keep the money as they have done!. We cannot decide now whether we can afford the tickets next year, getting through this year is going to be very tough, I would love to go next year, but no idea whether I will be able to afford it. we should kick up about this

blogs: Graeme Le Saux: Youth or experience for second Miami test?

The game against Honduras tonight is the final chance for a player to stake their claim for that World Cup opener against Italy next Saturday, and warm-up matches are key - just look at Michael Owen at France 98. The build-up to this tournament and that one 16 years ago is similar in many ways because there was a lot of experience in that England squad that I played in, and Michael really burst onto the scene. It was...

blogs: David Stone: Marvellous Miami is just like I pictured it

I've been to the US a few times before, but Miami really lives up to every cultural stereotype you can think of. It's big, bright and brash, not to mention full of hordes of identically-dressed, beautiful people. I’ve been to watch the Miami Marlins, the city's baseball team, in a local derby against the Tampa Bay Rays. While the stadium itself was two-thirds empty, the dozen or so England fans there...

blogs: Tim Vickery: Honduras and Professor Suarez lie in wait for Hodgson's hopefuls

The fitness of the Uruguay striker permitting, England have a date with Luis Suarez on 19 June. First, though, comes an encounter with his namesake on Saturday. Honduras are coached by Luis Fernando Suarez – a man who England fans have cause to...

blogs: Sue Smith: Striking a balance is key during a World Cup

Building up to a major international tournament is strange because you’ve spent so long preparing and then all of a sudden you’re playing in a World Cup – you don’t even think about it you just do your job. I would like to think...

blogs: Marios Papaloizou: Football’s friendly fire is my favourite time of year

Somewhere in-between the nerve-racking qualifying campaigns and the unbearable tension that surrounds a major tournament there occasionally lies a perfect storm of happy sentiment that surrounds the England team. Whether it's Peter Crouch's robot...
