EURO 2020

UEFA EURO 2020

ETC EXTRA TICKETS WAITING LIST

I received an email last week from ETC regarding tickets for members who had mistakenly applied for tickets in the wrong portal in December. It said in the email I would be notified this week if any tickets are available for members on the waiting list.

Has anyone heard anything?

Basically Team England have said they will provide an update shortly and send an email out next week with step by step instructions on how to pay for any tickets you've been allocated.

UEFA slow as ever, appreciate it's a busy time with Coronavirus issues, General resale ticket portal, Nations League draw last week etc. but how hard is it to confirm the data the FA has sent and provide a means to apply/pay for tickets, this only affects a handful of people. Surely (not holding my breath) we will hear back this week, the tournament starts in little over three months!

I was on that list and got an email from UEFA at 11am today saying they had tickets for me. I've got tickets for all England games, in the categories I expected from the original ballot. Only issue is that the other two guys in my group (39 and 37 cappers) have received nothing. Little confused as we applied as a group but have to see what happens. That came direct from UEFA and not ESTC though.

Cheers lads, I emailed UEFA on Monday basically asking for an update, they've just responded now saying "The fans that have been selected by the FA have been contacted today by email to purchase tickets. If you have not been contacted please get in touch with the FA."

Judging by the fact that others have not had emails aswell, this leads me to believe (and it's in keeping with the way in which successful/unsuccessful original emails were sent out) that UEFA stagger the emails they send out throughout the day, I remember getting my original "unsuccessful email" at 10pm when others had it much earlier in the day. I'll see how the rest of the day pans out and if nothing comes of it by the morning I will get in touch with the FA. That would be my advice to others aswell, especially if you're a high capper.

I applied for 3 tickets in the original ballot (me and my 2 sons) however this latest email from Uefa allows for only 1 ticket. I was hoping to receive the 3 tickets via the '2nd ballot' however this has gone quiet. Am I likely to miss out on the group tickets if I purchase via the UEFA invitation this morning?

Just noticed this actually I have the same email at 11:00 but again can only buy 1, this is going to be an awkward convo with my mate who I applied on behalf of.

Hi. Which portal did you log into?
Was it the UEFA general portal or the UEFA England portal?
If it was the England ticket portal then please could you post the website URL on here as I can’t find it anywhere now. Thank you

I got an email saying "We have tickets for you" but then when I login it asks me for an access code and there is nothing else on the page. I tried the access code the FA gave me in December but this didnt work...

blogs: Ian Fenwick: England emerging for bright future

I’m someone who is lucky enough work within the FA and the one thing I can say from my experience is that the future of English football is amazingly bright. Of course it’s not enough to always say that the things are going to be good in...

blogs: Tim Vickery: Belo Horizonte a fair setting for England’s new beginnings

Last time the World Cup came to Brazil, England went to the city of Belo Horizonte to be humiliated; it is the scene of that notorious 1-0 defeat to the United States. Perhaps humiliation is too strong a word this time. After all, England’s 2014 World Cup campaign has been marked by single goal defeats to former world champions, whereas back in 1950 the pride of the old First Division went down to what essentially...

blogs: Graeme Le Saux: England can bounce back if they take a few risks

After the disappointment of the last two games, it’s vital that England take risks against Costa Rica. We don’t need two holding midfielders, Roy Hodgson has to start Adam Lallana over Danny Welbeck and we should switch to three men at the back. There was a clear opportunity against Uruguay and Italy to go to a back three – it would have allowed us to put some of our inventive players into more creative...

blogs: John Hemmingham: Let’s blow our own trumpet for once – come on England!

I’m used to blowing my own trumpet but not when it comes to predictions – I think we’ll get a result against Uruguay, but I thought we’d beat Italy 4-0! You’ve got to be optimistic as an England fan, sometimes it’s blind optimism but if you do what we do you have to believe. I’ve been following England with the band for 18 years now and it has always been the same. Roy Hodgson...

blogs: Tim Vickery: Uruguay may raise their game away from Fortaleza furnace

In the build-up to the World Cup a Uruguayan company launched an imaginative advertising campaign. Draped in a sky blue sheet, the colour of Uruguay’s shorts, the ghost of 1950 wandered around Rio frightening the locals – no one ever here needs reminding that the last time the World Cup was held in Brazil, Uruguay walked off with the trophy. So there was an element of Brazilian joy at Uruguay’s humiliating...
