EURO 2020

UEFA EURO 2020

Paying for Euro 2020 ballot tickets - Name on card

Both myself and my Dad have been allocated tickets through the ballot in the same application.

In terms of payment, can we pay with a card in the name of either of us or does it have to be in the lead bookers name only?

Anyone already paid for tickets who has been in a similar situation?

    Anyones card.

Be aware that the cards security might flag up due to spending pattern so don't leave it last minute.

    In reply to Matthew Isle:

I would be interested to hear whether anyone has had their payment halted because it was flagged as not consistent with the cardholder's normal spending pattern. Recently, banks have introduced 2 step security for online purchases : (1) the usual log in details, plus (2) 'one time passcodes' sent to your mobile phone or email address. If people pass both steps then this should be enough evidence of identity and this should make spending pattern tests unnecessary.

My friend had problems today because of the lack of activity on his credit card. He managed somehow to prove that it was him and was purchasing tickets through UEFA , the bank requested he waits for 10 mins or so and try again, and with success. So if people leave it to the last minuet they could have a shock.

Lots of members have had to call their credit card providers looking at the ESTC FB site.

My payment didn't go through first time and I was told to contact my bank (Halifax). They cleared it but I had to wait another 20 mins before I could go again. It was a big payment (>£4k) so not complaining but it would have been nerve racking if close to the payment deadline.

I use my card every week but still had the bank block the payment until I contacted them. That UEFA must be well dodgy. Wink

The bank said wait 10 mins but I was successful in paying in 5.
