EURO 2020

UEFA EURO 2020

general ballot instead of travel club ballot

has anyone else been told they are in general ballot instead of travel club ballot?

I have, despite doing everything correctly and having a copy of my application which shows my membership number.

did it exactly the same way as my mate who has got tickets.

UEFA said isn't their fault.

I cant get in contact with ESTC.

Robert, I'm in the exactly same situation. I really do not understand why there was even a general ballot, I thought the December window was for team specific only, so why would anyone without ESTC membership apply or be allowed to do so?!

I’m baffled. I’m first to hold my hands up to a mistake but the process was unclear and the fact that I was acting on e-mails from the travel club providing an access code didn’t even prompt me to consider I was going wrong.
Now that I’ve failed in the ballot today... the only option is praying the FA secure extra tickets. Let’s live in hope

Yep also baffled how this has happened too. Never done this before and like you said i failed in the ballot today. I think the FA will be trying there hardest to be fair. Could be the first tournament ive missed since Japan and half the games are an hour and half away :-) ! Typical!

I was unsuccessful in the general ballot to so it's a waiting game. In all honesty, with 44 caps I'm pretty confident of being offered tickets, it's the price that worries me.

I’m sure that I’m not the first person to make a genuine mistake in life Daniel. Looks like the £75 paid for my travel club membership is worth it because of the support I have received from the ESTC.

blogs: Tim Vickery: Can England pass Peru's back three test?

When Peru narrowly failed to make the World Cup in 1998, their coach was Juan Carlos Oblitas, a winger from their side of the late 70s and early 80s. Oblitas remains an important voice in the Peruvian game – and he is not happy with the squad that...

blogs: Tim Vickery: Prototype Peru may prove just as welcoming to England as Wembley itself

Peru have not only been invited to Wembley this Friday to give a South American flavour to England’s World Cup send-off. Presumably, the idea is that the fans will go home happy and the team will get a pre-tournament morale boost. Only goal difference...
