Euro 2020 Tickets

Has anyone received confirmation on the tickets they applied for yet? "Said By the End of January" on the official Uefa website.

A FA communication update would be nice though

I expect there would have been if the timeline had changed.....

What is it you'd like the ESTC staff to say to add to their numerous previous updates as to when results would be out?

Excellent news - so the timeline is still intact.

I expect the ESTC staff were already batting off loads of members asking the same question(s).

Dated Tuesday. So hopefully that means we are close to now receiving application results. That, or they've just dated the article incorrectly.

    It a great point

Both the DOB and Membership number, required for the application, are both on the card for those daft enough to share this side on Facebook.

Knowing the passport number would be less of an issue.

The only saving grace is that the initial link and code to start the application was sent to the ESTC members own email address. So unless that has been forwarded then the risks are reduced.

This might slow the pics of members cards at the airport though.... actually maybe not!

Anyone have a idea on how long we get to purchase the tickets once they announce details of what you have been successful for?

For the general public sale last summer, I think it was 12 days. Your email with the payment link will tell you the deadline.

And we wonder why a few regard us as the laughing stock. Name spelt incorrectly ? DOB incorrect? Applying for tickets you already have? Using someone else’s ESTC no.? ( photos re cards on social media noted) Despite ESTC giving all of us prior & ample warning & numerous notifications to check our details. As a result of probably only a small number( deliberate or careless) we are still waiting to hear the ballot results. Whatever - won’t be long now

Feel sorry for the England Travel team having to wade thru all these applications..People having to maintain 2 different accounts for the same application was always going to get messy (or is that Messi ? ) .

If somebodys application was invalidated for a genuine mistaken reason, I wonder if people will be told why ? To help them correct the issue for any future applications.

Out of interest has anyone got any idea how long a window we have to purchase our tickets once our application has been decided?
Hypothetically if we are emailed on Monday 27th about our successful application, what would be a ball park length of time till the end of the purchase process, within 10 days ,2 weeks or longer?
Asking for a cash flow anxious friend

blogs: Ian Fenwick: England emerging for bright future

I’m someone who is lucky enough work within the FA and the one thing I can say from my experience is that the future of English football is amazingly bright. Of course it’s not enough to always say that the things are going to be good in...

blogs: Tim Vickery: Belo Horizonte a fair setting for England’s new beginnings

Last time the World Cup came to Brazil, England went to the city of Belo Horizonte to be humiliated; it is the scene of that notorious 1-0 defeat to the United States. Perhaps humiliation is too strong a word this time. After all, England’s 2014 World Cup campaign has been marked by single goal defeats to former world champions, whereas back in 1950 the pride of the old First Division went down to what essentially...

blogs: Graeme Le Saux: England can bounce back if they take a few risks

After the disappointment of the last two games, it’s vital that England take risks against Costa Rica. We don’t need two holding midfielders, Roy Hodgson has to start Adam Lallana over Danny Welbeck and we should switch to three men at the back. There was a clear opportunity against Uruguay and Italy to go to a back three – it would have allowed us to put some of our inventive players into more creative...

blogs: John Hemmingham: Let’s blow our own trumpet for once – come on England!

I’m used to blowing my own trumpet but not when it comes to predictions – I think we’ll get a result against Uruguay, but I thought we’d beat Italy 4-0! You’ve got to be optimistic as an England fan, sometimes it’s blind optimism but if you do what we do you have to believe. I’ve been following England with the band for 18 years now and it has always been the same. Roy Hodgson...

blogs: Tim Vickery: Uruguay may raise their game away from Fortaleza furnace

In the build-up to the World Cup a Uruguayan company launched an imaginative advertising campaign. Draped in a sky blue sheet, the colour of Uruguay’s shorts, the ghost of 1950 wandered around Rio frightening the locals – no one ever here needs reminding that the last time the World Cup was held in Brazil, Uruguay walked off with the trophy. So there was an element of Brazilian joy at Uruguay’s humiliating...
