EURO 2020

UEFA EURO 2020

Quarter Final - Rome vs St Petersburg

Given that the allocation for Rome is 7000, and the allocation for St Petersburg is 5000, how will the FA go about allocating conditional tickets for this game?

Will 2000 members receive a ticket conditional on the game being in Rome, and will this be outlined to them when we receive our ticket results? Surely this method has implications for which category people will receive, somebody maybe allocated a ticket to both venues, but only have enough caps for a cat 3 ticket if in Rome, but not if its St Petersburg. So how will UEFA know which category to charge them for this game, when the payment is due in January?

This has not been explained. But I think what will happen is that the 70%/20%/10% allocation which will be carried out in January will only distribute 5000 tickets. The other 2000 tickets for the Rome fixture will be made available only after we have won the group and qualified for the Rome pathway : possibly only after we have won in Dublin so that the tickets are unconditional.

If so, it is not obvious whether :-
    (a) the tickets will be offered to ESTC members via the FA using the caps system, or
    (b) it will be a first come, first served scramble on the UEFA website.

I think (b) is more likely because there just won't be time for (a).

I agree with your view, as its probably the only way they can feasibly do this. I do think its slightly unfair on those who get tickets for this in the Jan sale, for example if they have to pay Cat 1 like i may have to, and then later on nearer the game they would have had the option of buying a cat 2 or 3 ticket.

I also emailed the Travel Club asking this q , and their reply was "Only 5000 tickets will be allocated now. It is likely that we will only be able to offer the additional 2000 tickets, should we qualify, a few days before the match. The process for this is still to be confirmed so please check the website for further updates. "

I remember having to buy a R16 after the group game in France but I can't recall if it was ESTC only - and ironically sat with the Iceland Fans

    Yes. See here

Except the figures in the latest FA bulletin only add up to 4806.

For Germany 06, tickets were offered to certain cap levels. These were ordered by phone. I dare say they will just be sent to your app nowadays.

I think its probably unlikely the FA would be able to shift a further 2000 tickets at only about 4 days notice

I dont think there will be many fans who dont get tickets for the 1/4 final if they want them in this current sale, the fact we might end up in St Petersburg probably puts alot of people off

Most people I know already have flights booked from Dublin to Rome so would certainly purchase the tickets.
