EURO 2020

UEFA EURO 2020

Last 16 Ticket Through UEFA in Dublin, so I cant apply for the other?

As i already have a last 16 ticket through UEFA for the Dublin match on the 30th June, does this mean that I cant apply again for a last 16 ticket?

Was just wondering in case England finish second and end up playing in Copenhagen.

Thanks

Yes that’s right, as you could end up with 2 tickets for the same game which isn’t allowed under UEFA rules.

This has been answered by the ESTC in their FAQ.

'UEFA have advised that fans applying for tickets will be restricted to a total number of 4 tickets per seven (7) England matches. This means that if you've already been allocated tickets via the general sale for an England match, you cannot apply for more tickets to that same match through the Travel Club allocation.

In addition, you cannot apply for tickets to matches that are on the same day. For example, if you've already been allocated a ticket for Group D in Glasgow on Tuesday 23 June via the general public sale, you cannot apply for the Group D match in London on the same day via the Travel Club.

If you enter duplicate applications for the same matches then all applications may be cancelled. If you're applying for tickets on another member's behalf, please check to ensure they do not already have tickets for the same matches as it may void your entire application.

If you have tickets for non-England games, you can still apply for up to 28 England tickets (4 tickets allocated to ESTC members x 7 England matches) via the Travel Club allocation. However, if you have already been allocated knock-out match tickets through the general public allocation, you cannot apply for those again through the Travel Club. For example, if you've already been allocated a semi-final match ticket through the general public sale, you cannot apply for a conditional semi-final through the Travel Club because of the potential to have two tickets to the same match.'

    In reply to Mark Miles:

It hasn't really though has it. I've already been through the FAQ, it is only relevant if we play in Dublin then yes, I already have a ticket but if we finish second we then play in Copenhagen.
It gives no answer to 'IF' we finish second then I would qualify for a ticket.
I guess the safest thing to do is not to apply as then both my applications would become void.

Lets just hope for England finishing first!

    In reply to William Threlfall:

This is covered in the ticketing T&Cs. We all ticked that we had read them and agreed to them, even though they weren't actually published until ticket sales opened yesterday !!

    What they say is :-

3.11. An Applicant cannot submit a Request for a Ticket to a Knock-out Match if such Applicant has previously submitted a Request for a Follow My Team Ticket relating to the same Knock-out Match.

What we are talking about is actually the other way round : an application for a Follow My Team ticket if you already have a ticket to a Knock-out Match in the same round. But there is no doubt that the same rule applies. The issue is that if you have a conditional ticket to the R16 and an unconditional ticket to one of the R16 matches then, depending on England's pathway through the tournament, this could result in you having 2 tickets for the same match.

This paragraph is also relevant. See what results from a breach of the rules.

3.26. Any Successful Applicant who purchases or is allocated Tickets for the relevant Match via an Allocation Window is not permitted to receive Tickets for such Match via any other Allocation Window. Similarly, any Successful Applicant who purchases or is allocated Tickets for the relevant Match via any other method are not permitted to receive Tickets pursuant to these Terms and Conditions. Any Request for such Tickets will be rejected or cancelled, regardless of whether such Request has been accepted by UEFA Events SA. Where the Tickets have been cancelled by UEFA Events SA pursuant to this Article 3.26, the Successful Applicant will not be due a refund for such cancelled Tickets (as they have been obtained in breach of these Terms and Conditions).
