UEFA EURO 2020

Souvenir tickets

Despite the UEFA FAQs saying that souvenir tickets will be available for applicants who are granted mobile phone tickets, there is nowhere on the application to request them. It doesn't bother me. But, if it's important to others, then why don't you contact UEFA and kick off about it.

    Done.

Let's get this some traction by using the Contact Us form on the UEFA ticket application site.

No losers here (apart from us ticket collectors):

More dosh for UEFA and saddos, like me, appetite for tickets sated.

Did you receive these souvenir tickets for the Nations League Matt?

I know we won't be receiving anything for the Denmark friendly, but will be interesting to see if this continues moving forward (Austria Away) etc....

Never went to Portugal Matt so just curious, as I also collect the now old fashioned ticket stub.

After the Denmark announcement I just presumed they might be a thing of the past.

    In reply to Dane Hunter:

    Possibly at Wembley they might.

Be a shame though as the FA could make a few bob out of this too.

Non tournament aways are a different matter though. Still a long way from having that technology in all grounds.

I'm with you on this one, Matt. I collect my match tickets and opted to purchase my Denmark tickets outside our exclusive window in order to receive a paper ticket and in doing so, lose my discount which I think is a liberty.

Apparently you can choose the mobile ticket option receive the £5 discount in the initial sale.

Then collect a paper ticket at the office before the game.

That’s the response I got when I enquired why I couldn’t receive the £5 discount I was promised when signing up.

In future just buy in the priority sale then tell them your phone isn’t compatible.

    Good news that:

    A) the ESTC team are updating their FAQ
    B) that UEFA are listening
    C)

How do I purchase a souvenir ticket?
Members who would like a souvenir of the tournament will have the option of requesting souvenir tickets for an additional fee of €15. This will be available after you've been allocated tickets and have been invited to pay.

The fee applies to the whole order, not to each individual ticket. If fans choose the souvenir ticket option, they will receive both mobile tickets and souvenir tickets for all tickets purchased within that order.

Souvenir tickets will be delivered to the address provided in your ticket application after the end of the tournament. A souvenir ticket will not give you access to the stadium; only the mobile ticket can be used for that purpose.

    Hi Barry,
I’ve been told that if you go for that option, all they give you is a copy of the print at home version of the ticket.

They said I'd receive a paper ticket but I'm not sure what type. I'm fairly sure it would be a normal one.

When I was issued with the print at home tickets I didn't even bother going to the turnstile I just swapped it at the ticket office for a proper one.

I went to the Nations League Finals in Portugal. And also the Europa League Final in Baku. For both I went with the souvenir ticket option. And for both they arrived in the post a couple of weeks after the event as pretty decent paper tickets. So hopefully the same for Euro2020!

I was lucky enough to get a ticket for a group game at Wembley thru the Uefa general sale in the Summer. Everything in that application talks about a ticket being sent to you by 'courier'. So maybe just the England Travel Club tickets are going to be on the App.

blogs: Tim Vickery: A World Cup in every sense

Two World Cup Finals are being replayed in this week’s 2014 semi finals. The Germans seek revenge for their 2-0 defeat in 2002 when they meet Brazil – amazingly only the second time these giants have ever met in the tournament. And Holland were the closest – so far – a European team has ever come to winning the World Cup in South America when they hit the post with almost the last kick of normal...

blogs: Sue Smith: England can bounce back

There’s no doubt England can bounce back – the women’s team did it after the 2007 World Cup by going all the way in Euro 2009. Although we lost against Germany in the final of those Euros, there was a sense of achievement and progress...

blogs: Graeme Le Saux: Cool-hand Luke can handle price-tag

Having a hefty price tag can weight heavy on your shoulders – it certainly did for me when I moved back to Chelsea in 1997 for £5.5m. At the time I was the most expensive English defender and there was a lot of pressure that came with that. I found it quite hard and Luke Shaw now finds himself in a similar position after moving to Manchester United for £30m. It does make you look at things differently...

blogs: Graeme Le Saux: It’s time to give England’s players a break

There’s no doubt England’s players will be disappointed with the way things panned out in Brazil, but they deserve a break after the mentally exhausting season they have all had. They’ll feel like they are coming home prematurely because going into these tournaments you always think that you’re good enough to progress, so to lose their first two games and be out of the World Cup this early will...

blogs: John Hemmingham: Fresh faces give us cause for hope

In my years following England I’ve seen some great players come and go – and teams rise and fall. I can say with pride that I saw every game David Beckham played for England and I have also been privileged enough to have seen all of Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard’s appearances. Watching the Costa Rica match it was hard to think that it might be both of their final appearances. I remember Gerrard...
