UEFA EURO 2020

EURO 2020 FAQ page

Many of the calls and emails the England Supporters Club is receiving from members can be answered by our EURO 2020 FAQ page.

Please refer to this page in the first instance before calling or emailing for assistance. We are experiencing a very high call and email volume; to help us assist you please read all the information we've provided on the website.

In addition, NO access codes have been sent to members yet - these will be sent either later tonight before the ticket portal opens tomorrow. If you join the Travel Club after 5pm today, you'll be sent your access code on the 9th December.

Tickets are NOT allocated on a first-come-first-served basis and ONLY lead applicant needs an access code and an account on the UEFA's website.

Further information regarding ticket applications, including category splits will be published in due course.

    It's a conditional ticket.
You accept it on the condition you don't know where it will be.

One thing I've been made aware of is a lack of email from UEFA after a successful application has been made.

Or maybe there is a time lag at this busy time.

The FAQ suggest the submission of an initial application or change to an application should result in an email.

I'd welcome any feedback from others on this.

Took almost four hours between submission and email receipt

    Hence be patient.

We have received a huge number of emails from members today who have failed to include their name or FAN number(s). Please be aware that due to the volume of queries we are receiving, these emails will not be responded to.

We encourage all members to have their FAN numbers to hand when calling or emailing in order for our staff to assist you.

We have also provided an update regarding members who have joined today: www.thefa.com/.../new-estc-joiners

Thank you to the Travel Club members helping out on the forum and Facebook page with queries from new joiners and those unfamiliar with the process!

Can a child member be added on to any adult members application or does it need to be the adult that their travelclub membership is linked to?

    In reply to Stephen Taggart:

There will not be a 30% ballot when it comes to allocating tickets for tournaments, including Euro 2020:

‘In the event that an England match is oversubscribed (there are more applications than there are tickets), a ballot will be conducted in order to fairly allocate tickets.
70% of the ticket allocation for each England game will be offered to members with the highest number of caps who applied. The number of caps you will need to qualify for the top 70% will depend on whether your caps total puts you in the top 70% of members who've applied for a specified match and the size of The FA's allocation for that game.
Members who are unsuccessful in this draw (for the 70%) will go into two ballots for the remaining tickets as follows:

    1. 20% will be balloted to members who have attended at least two away games and four home games in the 2018-2020 membership period.

    2. 10% will be balloted to members who missed out on both the 70% allocation and 20% allocation (they have not attended at least two away games and four home games in the membership period).

    www.thefa.com/.../away-ballots-explained

According to your attended games, you will be in the 10% ballot.

blogs: Tim Vickery: A World Cup in every sense

Two World Cup Finals are being replayed in this week’s 2014 semi finals. The Germans seek revenge for their 2-0 defeat in 2002 when they meet Brazil – amazingly only the second time these giants have ever met in the tournament. And Holland were the closest – so far – a European team has ever come to winning the World Cup in South America when they hit the post with almost the last kick of normal...

blogs: Sue Smith: England can bounce back

There’s no doubt England can bounce back – the women’s team did it after the 2007 World Cup by going all the way in Euro 2009. Although we lost against Germany in the final of those Euros, there was a sense of achievement and progress...

blogs: Graeme Le Saux: Cool-hand Luke can handle price-tag

Having a hefty price tag can weight heavy on your shoulders – it certainly did for me when I moved back to Chelsea in 1997 for £5.5m. At the time I was the most expensive English defender and there was a lot of pressure that came with that. I found it quite hard and Luke Shaw now finds himself in a similar position after moving to Manchester United for £30m. It does make you look at things differently...

blogs: Graeme Le Saux: It’s time to give England’s players a break

There’s no doubt England’s players will be disappointed with the way things panned out in Brazil, but they deserve a break after the mentally exhausting season they have all had. They’ll feel like they are coming home prematurely because going into these tournaments you always think that you’re good enough to progress, so to lose their first two games and be out of the World Cup this early will...

blogs: John Hemmingham: Fresh faces give us cause for hope

In my years following England I’ve seen some great players come and go – and teams rise and fall. I can say with pride that I saw every game David Beckham played for England and I have also been privileged enough to have seen all of Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard’s appearances. Watching the Costa Rica match it was hard to think that it might be both of their final appearances. I remember Gerrard...
