UEFA EURO 2020

Last 16 & q/f ticket chances

I’m on 24 caps anyone any idea of my chances of getting a ticket for the last 16 & q/f  through the 70% of tickets given to those on most caps . As after this My only chance is in the 10% ballot with only 1 away game missed out on spain & kosova on cap levels but traveled?

As it stands you'd need around 550 people on or above 24 caps not to apply for you to be in the 70% for the smallest allocation of 5k, perhaps less if you are happy to accept a higher price bracket.

That’s good so definitely ok for all groups and semi final and final .. can I do cat 3 for groups and semi and final then select cat 2 for last 16 and q/f or do you have to pick the same cat all the way through your selection

    In reply to Anthony Simpson:

You can pick and choose per game. Further into the competition you go, the dearer the tickets get. It depends also if you want to sit with mates on higher caps, you may have to tick the box that's normally there saying accept tickets of a higher cat if desired ones unavailable.

Thanks . So I’m taking it if you tick the box with the option to get tickets from a higher cat it would apply to all games or do you have the option to tick the box game by game

In recent tournaments you have been able to select a different cat for different matches if you so wish.

You have also been able to have different group members for each game.
The ticket cat selection is for the whole group though.

The assumption is it'll be the similar this time too.

Accepting a higher (or lower) category (we've had both permutations in the past) is different in that I remember in past tournaments it being game by game and also others been a catch all. Unless anyone knows better this is a wait and see when the application process opens.

It has been discussed in a few other recent threads on here.

Yes the check box, if like previous ones, applies to all games. The FA do there best to sit people together and as cheaply as possible.

Thanks . Another question is there a way of seeing how many caps people are on above me without having to add them all up ..,as I’ve said I’m on 24 caps .

Am I right in thinking when applying as a group each member’s application is judged individually? I’m planning on applying in a group with my mate but he’s on 6 caps and I am on 22

Looking at flight options in and out of Rome/Italy for possible quarters already expensive. Will people wait and then pay the top prices that it will inevitably go to? Anyone found any cheap prices to gamble on for Rome?

You have 24 caps. From the table link I gave you that means that currently to GUARANTEE you a ticket in the top 70 you need an allocation of 5770. Assuming you're canny with the ticket selection (which we don't have yet).

You can then use the link below to see which you are guaranteed for.

    www.thefa.com/.../uefa-euro-2020-allocations

Note that the caps table will change so you need to keep checking the link I provided yesterday.

blogs: Ian Fenwick: England emerging for bright future

I’m someone who is lucky enough work within the FA and the one thing I can say from my experience is that the future of English football is amazingly bright. Of course it’s not enough to always say that the things are going to be good in...

blogs: Tim Vickery: Belo Horizonte a fair setting for England’s new beginnings

Last time the World Cup came to Brazil, England went to the city of Belo Horizonte to be humiliated; it is the scene of that notorious 1-0 defeat to the United States. Perhaps humiliation is too strong a word this time. After all, England’s 2014 World Cup campaign has been marked by single goal defeats to former world champions, whereas back in 1950 the pride of the old First Division went down to what essentially...

blogs: Graeme Le Saux: England can bounce back if they take a few risks

After the disappointment of the last two games, it’s vital that England take risks against Costa Rica. We don’t need two holding midfielders, Roy Hodgson has to start Adam Lallana over Danny Welbeck and we should switch to three men at the back. There was a clear opportunity against Uruguay and Italy to go to a back three – it would have allowed us to put some of our inventive players into more creative...

blogs: John Hemmingham: Let’s blow our own trumpet for once – come on England!

I’m used to blowing my own trumpet but not when it comes to predictions – I think we’ll get a result against Uruguay, but I thought we’d beat Italy 4-0! You’ve got to be optimistic as an England fan, sometimes it’s blind optimism but if you do what we do you have to believe. I’ve been following England with the band for 18 years now and it has always been the same. Roy Hodgson...

blogs: Tim Vickery: Uruguay may raise their game away from Fortaleza furnace

In the build-up to the World Cup a Uruguayan company launched an imaginative advertising campaign. Draped in a sky blue sheet, the colour of Uruguay’s shorts, the ghost of 1950 wandered around Rio frightening the locals – no one ever here needs reminding that the last time the World Cup was held in Brazil, Uruguay walked off with the trophy. So there was an element of Brazilian joy at Uruguay’s humiliating...
