    Isn’t this a case of Uefa changing its rules during the application process. I,like a number of others, applied for and got tickets to a variety of games in the general sale and no mention was made about a limit of 7 games. Does this mean I can’t now apply for the England games I was waiting for?

    Wondering if the R16 is an initial allocation. Aviva stadium is 51,700, Copenhagen is 38,000 but both are 5,000 allocations. If it ends up being Dublin maybe more tickets will become available

    It's a great point and one that the ESTC team have been remarkable in securing in the past.

    The maximum allocation is 13.3% and not even 10% for the Dublin game should we play there. UEFA haven't learnt anything after the appalling arrangements of this years CL & EL finals

    Regarding the group matches, I think 12000 is a disappointing allocation considering that it was 14000 for the Stade de France at Euro 2016. There are already over 12000 ESTC members with 2 or more caps, so things are not looking good for zero cappers.

    On the other hand, the allocations for the semi-final and final are brilliant. Let's hope we make it that far !

    The allocations for the R16 and QF are baffling. According to the UEFA website

    Ticketing products

    There will be two different types of ticket to choose from:

    Individual ticket: one match in one stadium; and

    'Follow my team' ticket (sold from December 2019): A ticket allowing fans to attend a knockout stage match of their favourite team independently of the location of the match. If the team is eliminated before the knockout stage, 100% of the ticket price will be refunded.

    So, how come different venues have different allocations. If 7000 members buy a 'Follow my team' QF ticket because that's the allocation for Rome, then if we qualify for St Petersburg, all 7000 will expect to be allowed in, not just 5000.

    Are UEFA going to sell 5000 'Follow my team' tickets + 2000 conditional tickets where the condition is that we have to qualify for Rome ?

    If we qualify for the Glasgow R16, which is low probability, are UEFA proposing to sell 7000 'Follow my team' R16 tickets + 5000 conditional tickets which only become unconditional if we play our R16 in Glasgow.

    If anyone can guess how this will work, please post your ideas.

    So if we finish third and end up playing at Hampden Park England fans would be allocated 12,000 tickets but only 5000 for the game in Dublin of we win our group? Similar sized stadiums aren't they?

    I wonder whether the UEFA plan is to sell 5000 'Follow my team' R16 tickets and 5000 'Follow my team' QF tickets in December. Then, if / when we qualify for a knock out match, they will release another block of tickets depending on which venue we qualify for. It would be a high risk strategy to release so many tickets so close to the date of the match. What would be the 'take up' with so little time to arrange transport and accommodation.

    Technically, it wouldn't cause a problem because the tickets would be delivered instantly by mobile phone app.

    This applies to me. I have picked up tickets to 5 other games in the public ballot and fans first programme. I went to great trouble not to buy any tickets for a game that could clash with any England games on any route is 1st, 2nd of 3rd place so as not to break any rules. Am I now only able to apply for for a to 2 England games?

    We need to seek clarification on this 7 game limit. Personally I think it is poor wording rather than something that would restrict us attending other games (providing they were not on the same day as a potential England game).

    When we log into our UEFA accounts in December with our Travel Club numbers we'll be able to choose from England's 7 potential games. And I think what they might be trying to say (which has been the case at previous tournaments) is that if you got a ticket for a game in the UEFA public sale which could potentially turn into an England game then you can't apply for the particular game. So if, say, you got SF2 in the UEFA public sale you can't apply for an England SF ticket (even though England could end up in SF1 and there not be a clash).

    Anyway, that's what I think they're getting at. It would make sense. And it would be in line with previous tournaments.

    Hi, apologies if my questions have been answered elsewhere but with regards to your post regarding Euro2020 allocations:


    1. Why do you only show allocations for group games at Wembley? This implies all Englands games will be at home. My understanding one of these fixtures could be at Hampden Park (if Scotland qualify via playoffs and subsequent draw for England/Scotland fixture is away). If so, what would be the allocation of this potential fixture at Hampden Park?

    Form UEFA website: "If both paired nations qualify, a draw will be held to determine which is at home in their direct encounter. If any of the host nations are in the play-offs, an additional final tournament draw may be required following the completion of those matches."


    2. Also should the below date be 3 September 2018? I thought only the previous qualifying period counted in the ballot ie 2018-2020.

    "If I join the Travel Club, am I guaranteed a ticket to UEFA EURO 2020™?

    Not necessarily. In the event an England match is oversubscribed, a ballot will be undertaken based on membership caps to allocate tickets fairly.

    Each member who has attended at least one game either home or away since 3 September 2016 is guaranteed to be entered into the ballot for tickets. "

    Yes, James, all England's group games are now guaranteed to be at Wembley. One could have been at Hampden Park only if Scotland had qualified directly from the group stage. So Scotland qualifying via the playoffs does not count in this regard.
