Hi ...Noticed that interest in the Belgium match is high for all categories .....Have 10 caps as I live in Norway ...but og to all the tournaments ....Brazil , ukraine , France , Germany which we do not get caps for . But see that cat 1 there is only 100 tickets , cat 2 x 330 tickets cat 3 x 2,989 . So had thought best to order cat 1 ....but think maybe best cat 2 or 3 is better chance as more tickets and you will only go down in category if there are tickets available in the lower cats ...which there will not be ....is this thinking correct ?
Also it says we will get notification of tickets we get and date money will be withdrawn . My bank needed to know the name of the Company doing the withdrawal ....is it Fifa ?
Hi, Richard. I think your line of reasoning is not quite correct.
The FA have been allocated 700 tickets for the 'football family', i.e. football clubs, county associations, referees' bodies, etc. They are seeking permission from FIFA to pass 400 of these tickets on to English fans. Most of these tickets are in category 1 so our allocation in this category might rise from 100 to 500. But, only fans who have applied for category 1 tickets could be allocated these extra tickets.
Richard Strongyou will only go down in category if there are tickets available in the lower cats
No, you will go down a category if you were successful in the ballot for tickets but your first choice category has all been allocated to other fans. However, as the FA will match the number of successful applicants to the number of available tickets, if you have to be moved down in category there must be lower category tickets available.
If you are successful in your application for tickets then, 1/2 days before FIFA try to take payment they will email you telling you when payment attempts will start. In this email they will give all of the details which your own bank might want : Merchant Name, Merchant ID, Acquirer-BIN number, etc
