UEFA Nations League
First time away with England which has been decent. But thought the set up of getting into the ground and the way we we treated after I.e trains was pretty poor. Personally didn’t get back till 2:45. Just wondered how other people got on.

Should have went for a few pints and let the queue go down.. if this was held in England they wouldn't put free trains on..

Josh Bennett ..... being that Lisbon has 2 big stadiums ......
It was in the bid specification for countries who wanted to stage the Nations League finals that there had to be 1 stadium of at least 50000 and 1 of at least 30000. I think this was a sensible choice. The semi final involving the host country and the final could each fill a 50000 stadium but the semi final involving the other two teams and the 3rd/4th place match wouldn't. Neither UEFA, their sponsors or the TV companies want to see half empty stadiums. There was also a requirement that the 2 stadiums had to be no further apart than 150 km.
The problem with Lisbon was that it doesn't have a stadium of 30000 - 35000 either within the city or less than 150 km away. There is a stadium of sorts at Oeiras but it's not the home of a proper club side and it would not have been good enough for the Nations League. So, they had to go to Porto, the only other 50000 stadium in the country, and then pair it with Aveiro, Braga or Guimaraes as the other stadium.
